I crashed my Tundra last sunday. I will have to wait another week or so before I find out how bad but I am going crazy waiting. Trying to figure out if it is totaled or if I get to keep my truck. My truck is valued at 10-13k on KBB. It is an '08 Tundra with 140k miles. The car I hit had a tire that cleared the reinforced bumper so it hit the radiator and pushed everything back. Anyone have a ballpark on repair costs? I know that is a loaded questions. Thank you!

I would imagine that will hit close to the 10K repair bill...

Surprisingly no. I hit at about 35mph too. Nobody was injured, everyone was walking and talking afterwards, which I am very thankful for.

Definitely totaled.. some ins companies will total it out if repairs cost 70% of car value.. sounds like a down payment for a 2019 tundra

That's going to be totaled, if not, get the check and do the repairs yourself. Upgrade to Sequoia 2018 headlights and a new metal bumper. I think they'll total it though, gives you a chance of getting a new tundra that isn't the same champagne color as my mom's camry :D

Man that sucks. This is my 14 that I wrecked, no airbags deployed. It was just over 12k for repairs. Got the truck back and I hated it, just wasn't the same. So I traded if a new 17.

I’m not sure it will get totaled. I would think the value of that truck is somewhere around 15-17 grand.
If those repairs are under 10k they will probably repair. I would be curious about frame condition.

I would guess 7 to 15k in damage to repair. Was it your fault? Lady pulled in front of my truck at 65 mph. I got three estimates. 5k,7k and 12k. Air bags did not deploy. Since it was her fault ,I went with most expensive. Plus they were the shop with best reputation. After they pull all the parts off ,could be hidden damage. Good luck. D

I had an 08 that got totaled almost a year ago. Mine only had 83k miles i got $20k for it, my guess is yours is worth $16k and that your repairs are around 10k (no airbags..)... my guess is they will not total it.
    Good luck!

2008 Tundra, 5.7 V8, 4wd, clean condition is worth 12k to 25k depending on double cab vs crewmax cab, engine option, 2wd vs 4wd, the miles and condition. Yeah its kind of silly but Crewmax 4wd, 5.7 V8, 4wd trucks with under 100k miles, even a 2007-2013 are worth at least $23,000 if they are clean title.d

I've had most of my front end parts off before. If you have no hidden frame damage........your Tunny will most likely be fixed...
