Howdy, since I have full access to all Chilton Repair Manuals I thought I'd try starting a thread like this in hopes of helping fellow members and also creating searchable information for others.

    Ask away:

NOTE: The 3rd Gen Tundra manuals are not published yet.
NOTE 2: Feel free to ask about other vehicles in your garage as well.

Okay, I have one. Do the Chilton manuals happen to mention what kind of Torsen center differential the 2nd Generation Sequoias use? T-1 (Type A), T-2 (Type B), or T-3 (Type C).

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
Always looking for torques for everything. Think I got some for the front suspension last time. Does the chiton manuals have a list of torques or do you have to go through each section?

That's a good question. No, the manuals don't contain part numbers or get to that detail. See attached.

Rockauto or something similar will be a good resource to find that information.

They have a standard bolt torque table on there (attached) but for each repair section there is usually an illustration showing the exploded view of the parts and applicable bolt torques. (see attachment from previous post)

@mdavis I wish I could send you the whole manual but I can only PDF one section at a time through various drop down menus. Is there a topic or repair that you need done?

So are the '16 Crewmax manuals out yet? If so, I need the Radio interface schematics. Specifically looking for the video and audio interfaces.

2014 and up manuals out yet? Is it detailed step by step? I have the Haynes manual and it skips over some vital steps, I don’t wanna buy this and it’s not as detailed for an average guy that is not a tech

Cool, is it for more advanced tech stuff? Can the average guy buy it and able to do anything on the truck with the instructions or you “need” to have some experience wrenching? I don’t want to pay for it and it’s vague......

Yes, it is pretty detailed. Enough for the average wrencher to be proficient.

@Nor7 do you have the electric diagram behind tow/haul button on a 2012 ? I see 4 wires: light brown, green, yellow and white/black. Can you confirm what they are ? green tied to dashboard illumination ? thanks !

@Nor7 Could you tell me the wiring color order on the Cam Position Sensor pigtail attached to the loom that runs directly over the plugs on the passenger side of the motor? I was changing the plugs & moved the loom out of the way a little, not realizing that the cam position sensor was hidden under it. I noticed some bare wires dangling a little later. I'm pretty sure that the wires are yellow, black, red going from the motor toward the fender.

I have not as yet had need to look for that specifically. I know that it shows the differences between column and console shift trucks, so I would think that chances are good. Might I ask specifically what you're searching for? I may have glanced over it in my particular roaming.

I kinda doubt it. I do seem to recall someone made a video focusing on these exact aspects. It was on YouTube.
