Hi guys 2013 Crew max here adding a stock looking custom light bar switch. I got a wiring harness that only has 3 wires to the switch it came with and the switch I got from cruiserheads.com came with four. Any help appreciated? Picture attached is the switch diagram. Guess Im wondering what the easiest way is to jump into the dash panel lights. I have the RSCA on off switch right next door so I was wondering if anyone has the color code for the dash lilghts on that switch

good timing. I bought a similar switch and I'm planning on tapping in the tow haul button illumination. green color I think.
Are you planning on using a relay with your new switch ?

are you using the Baja Designs harness that came with your lights ? you have 1,2 and 4 already. 3, I would tap in dashboard illumination (green wire I believe)

Ron - the 3 pin switch on existing harness is lit only when switch is on. I'm not sure on which harness it is .. it's the one pictures .. I was going to trap the dash illumination on the neighboring RSCA switch next door ... oh yeah and I bought a harness with the relay already wired in

Good timing. I just did my friends light bar with that switch. The relay harness that comes with these light bars are setup to run anytime. To wire it up properly to this switch you need to re wire the relay. Here is how the end product should be once you rewire the harness or just start from scratch. @TheBeast @johnmtalley

You aren’t putting much amps through the switch. It’s jsut to switch your relay on.

You need to just get a standard 4 pin from autozone. The pin out matches my diagram. They are usually rated 30-40 amps. Make sure to get a fuse. Probably want a 15A fuse for both your lights. Maybe even 20? There was a fuse chart roaming around somewhere before. My 42” light bar has a 40A fuse I believe.

@BlueBottle I kinda like the run anytime in case I need to lit up a scene and not start the truck with key in ignition. would you just hook up the CH4x4 switch and not use a relay in this case ?

You need the relay. That switch may not handle the lights. If you want to be able use them anytime. Land the green wire on an always on circuit. Not sure if there is one in the fuse box. If there isn’t, you can run the green wire to 87 of the relay. So you will have two wires there. That will let you use your lights anytime.
