A little off topic, but could you do us all a favour and stop with the vague thread titles?

The lift and the tires are going to make everything work harder. Your truck was made for work, but wasn't designed to be lifted. So, yes and no.

Without gearing change the 35" tires do put extra strain on the engine/tranny. Its not too much as you have 4:30 gearing in the diffs.

The height hurts mpg because of increased drag.
Too much angle on the cvs and your causing premature wear of the cvs and wheel bearings.

Bad cv axle angle? Definitely a bad news.

Usually not many people agree with me but ill throw my 2 cents in...

If you plan to run 35s forever- invest in 4.88 gears IMHO. Yes your RPMs will be higher on the freeway but that does not directly correlate to less fuel economy, lot of people forget to also consider engine load. Just because your turning less RPM does not mean your using less fuel.

It is a bit of an investment especially if your 4x4, worth every penny IMO. Less powertrain/driveline stress, torque curve at or starting lower than factory and fuel economy at or better than originally.

I don't ever plan to go lower than 35s. I just didn't think the truck needed it until you got into the 37s range. I'm not to knowledgeable on regearing though. How much higher in rps on the freeway?
