Guys I have a 2012 Tundra 4x4 TRD. I am going to put The ToyTec/Eibach 3" coilovers on the front end. Do you think I will have to get new UCA's? I would rather not have to spend the $600 on some Camburgs at this point.

Its a good recommendation to insure proper alignment the first time without any issues. However, we have seen a lot of people/ installed a lot of kits that retain their factory uppers and we are able to align them just fine.

Just something to think about down the road honestly..

If you do, ToyTec has solid SPC UCA's that won't break the bank. Right ToyTec?

I got the ToyTec BOSS 3/1 on my truck....for my own piece of mind (and because of what ToyTec said above) I bought the SPC adjustable UCAs

We install a lot of 3/1 kits on Tundras. A good tech doing the alignment can get it into acceptable range. But usually just barely. With the SPCs you can get it perfect.

think of it like this...Like @Toytec Lifts said...its all about the alignment.. that being said, an alignment is gonna be 100ish bucks...if your having an install done go ahead and save yourself some cash and do the ucas.
    1. on the labor
    2. for another alignment if you happened to need the uppers after you get your first initial alignment.
    just my 2 cents tho.

I have the BOSS coilovers and left my stock UCAs and my tech team was able to get me in the green for alignment. I am, however, awaiting on my ICON Tubular Delta Joint UCAs to arrive and will get those installed next week. I think in the long term I will be happier.

I just went with Eibach and used the same reasoning as Erichudgins after consulting the install shop and Toytec. Did anyone else notice a change in (improvement) on turning radius after the install of coil overs and SPC UCAs? I had rubbing on my factory skid plate because the tires seemed to turn in more. I do not want to put more stress on the components with over steering.

I ran the Eibach 3/1 kit from @Toytec Lifts with stock UCAs without issues and it aligned fine.

I just had the Radflo/Toytec coil overs and SPC UCAs installed on Monday, so I haven't had a chance to test the turn radius yet. My tech went ahead and trimmed the skid plate before reinstalling it. He does a lot of 3/1 spacer/block kits for us, so he does that on all of them.
