2017 TRD Pro and King 3.0

Hello everyone! I want to check with everyone and get their thoughts regarding my front King 3.0 setup. Hard to explain but towards the bottom of the shock, their looks to be a large metallic washer that rattles if I drive over a sharp speed bump. Took into the local shop and they mentioned it was a safety bump inside that protects the shock if I push it too hard.

Thing is, that silver metallic washer rattles no matter what size bump I drive over. Again, I may not be explaining this well enough but hope you can use the picture for context. You should be able to see the small opening on the bottom of the shock where I can push the washer up a little and it drops back down. Making the metal clanking sound when I drive over small bumps.

Any ideas what is going on here? I can provide other pictures too if needed.

Yes, driver and passenger side both spin and freely move up along the bar about a half inch. This is what is causing the weird metal sound when the washer shakes around and drops to the bottom of the shock.

 

If needed I can use a ball point pen to show you the washer, just in case I am not describing what I am talking about in the picture.

 

See the black cushion bump on the shock shaft, slide it down tight to the washer.
