Got mine from Antenna Source. Subtle hint....if you message @TheAntennaSource Zach might be able to swing you a bit of a discount on their high quality antennas.

    Thanks brotha!
The little things indeed...I learned many years ago, every engine has free hps available with some porting and polishing. I've done a few intake tubes and TB's just b/c they're the easiest to get to. Obviously the best gains are with the manifold and heads. Just looking in the manifold for what little bit I did, there are mold lines in there I'd like to smooth out and some serious gaps on the interior where the upper and lower parts were put together. Hence my last comment at the end of the previous post....

As far as feeling any difference:
I just did some stop/go driving around town, so I didn't really get to open it up like I wanted. It did feel smoother going through the low-end upshifts and downshifts coming to a stop. I'll be on the highway tmrw and I'm interested to see what the mpgs do.

The TB coolant bypass tho…. Holy shit....…………………………………….IT WORKS!!!!
The first time out was 4 miles round trip. As you might imagine, valve cover and radiator were both too hot to touch. TB...…...as cool as when I put it on!!!

I'm playing around with a number of ideas/theories about maintaining cooler air temps including; making the hood a functional 'ram air', testing air temps in air box and intake tube. With the intake tube sitting inches over the engine, I've always questioned the effectiveness of a 'CAI' if the air is heated after the filter. The TB coolant bypass will CERTAINLY keep air temps cooler...if nothing else than mitigating additional heat.
If I can get outside 'cold air' into the filter box and keep the intake tube insulated, may feel it a little more at cruising speed/top end.

I'll reply back tmrw evening. I suspect it will help the mpgs the most. I'm not certain what the DD BAM adds, but with everything I've done, IF I'm near 400 hps, I don't think the few hps gained from the TB and Intake will be noticeable.

The manifold tho...I'm thinking there may be some potential for some gains. I'd really like to figure out if the 'peanut-shaped' openings on the manifold are gasket-matched to the heads.

Just did mine today as well. The flip key from Amazon sure is flimsy. The two screws barely hold it closed. I'm afraid this won't last very long.

I went with artic coating. The same people who started the co ceramic pro broke off and started artic coating. Yeah I had like the only certified applicator in the US, apply it for me. Luckily they in NJ. Jim Le just had his done too. He's picking his up tomorrow from the same place and same product.

    Alright...so yea...It feels like it's breathing better!
Maybe it's the first real cold/dry air day we've had since I added the exhaust, the aforementioned work or a combo of it all.

I maintained 15.3 - 14.9 mpgs this am. This evening in Atlanta traffic, it went down to the 12's...not surprising. Getting on the highways and making a couple of passes... it's moving like it never has before. At highway cruising speeds, I had to punch it a few times and jumped up 20 mph before I knew it.
I used the manual shifts once I got on the side roads coming home. Keeping it in the lower gears' power band....it moved and sounds soooo good!!!!

If you combine all the material of the screen and everything removed with grinding, sanding, polishing, etc., there's a fair amount of restriction and air disruption in a stock set up. Then, running that disrupted air thru a blazing hot TB (without the coolant bypass)….I'm sure there's some horses that are being corralled in a stock set up.

I wish there were more aftermarket upgrades for the intake system of the 3UR-FE, like there are for the LS models. I'd love to see a 90mm TB and a gasket-matched billet manifold....ohhhh…..

Yes...you'll need time. I've seen some people take several hours. I did all of mine in about 7 hours (not all at once). Search the interwebs and YT...there's plenty of good vids/info. Certainly, give me a shout if you have any questions.

Just can't help it. I'll be the 1st to admit. After having my truck artic coated I just can't walk away without turning around to take a pic. I love my kids to death, but I'm ashamed to say I got way more pics of my truck in my phone than I do them. I know father of the year lol.

As good as this pic below looks, it's not doctored in anyway, just a regular old cell phone pic, same as rest. With just the right lighting it's looks amazing. To be honest, pics don't even do it justice, you gotta see it in real life. I gotta say it's great, I get so many compliments on a daily. It's especially nice when truck guys, who don't drive Tundras, say what an awesome truck I got.

Least it's good to know I'm not the only 1 obsessed with my truck. Don't get me wrong, my kids are very well taken care of and I love them to death, but there is no denying it, I'm definitely obsessive over my truck. The ol lady and friends think I'm crazy, they just don't understand lol.
