Paint them or get real TRD brakes. Caliper covers just make you look terribly cheap imo.

I know I can do it but taking off the tires and reinstalling just seems like a pain. I can just buy them and have someone install them for me is MUCH easier!!

Here's another option, I recently installed MGP Caliper Covers. They come with easy bolt-on hardware and are custom fitted to the Tundras front and rear calipers. You can order in custom colors with different logos etc. I ordered mine in red which matches my TRD sway bars perfectly. I also added "TUNDRA" in black, its etched into the caliper covers which are aluminum by the way.

I didn't do a step-by-step on the install however, it was really basic. Jacked up truck, (floor jack & jack-stands). Wheels off, the caliper covers come with vehicle specific clips that attach to the factory brake caliper and have a threaded studs. You slip the caliper cover over the threaded stud and secure with (2) supplied bolts per caliper cover. Took more time to jack up and remove wheels than caliper cover install.

Ya, they are pricey, for what I was going for it was worth it. I've painted several sets of caliper on different vehicles they do look good, prep is the key and getting several smooth coats.

You did a really clean job on your caliper paint. I like that you took the extra time to not paint over the hardware, clips, pins etc....looks pro!

Can’t the covers trap heat and encourage over heated brakes and disc warping?
Seems like adding a blanket where you wouldn’t want one.

I asked there Tech Dept the same question before I purchased them.

This is from there FAQ page

DO THE CALIPER COVERS TRAP IN BRAKE HEAT?
No, we designed the Caliper Covers to dissipate brake heat. Our specially engineered covers divert heat away from your brakes and out through the top of your factory calipers. We hold our production standards to an OEM level to ensure safety and durability. Check out this video on our MGP Caliper Covers Heat Test.

^^Not sure I believe that reply. I know very little about how thermodynamics work in a brake system, but I fail to see how the covers help to dissipate heat. A cover on the outside of the caliper like that probably has negligible impact of heat imo.

If the calipers act as a heat sink, they can potentially draw heat away from the brake calipers. I’m not sure whether they would do much harm or help in this case.

From what I've read, MGP caliper covers offers OEM caliper covers for several automotive mfg's. If the covers were prone to heating up brakes the OEM's would have liability on their hands offering these to customers, they would be on the hook for warped rotors etc.
