How much would it cost to put 2019 trd suspension on the truck, and is it even worth it compared to other kits?

BTW. There are 2 guys on this forum that were recently in a Ram/ Rebel TV commercial. They hammed it up big and hopefully will "make the cut." Listening to them talk about it almost had me rolling on the ground. You guys might be blown away if this sees air time.
They did say the Rebel was a joke.

I just love trucks!! If I am looking for maximum value and return on investment, then, it is the TUNDRA! If I am looking for a fast truck, then, it's the Raptor. If I am looking for a everyday work truck, then, it will be the Ram, F150, Tundra. If I want to waste my money, just to say that I have the most expensive truck on the market, then, I would buy a Silverado or GMC :) Toyota Tundras have the highest resale value for pickup trucks 10 years and older! Let's face facts, the 3 domestic pickup trucks aren't know for long term ownership. That's whey they remodel/refresh their pickup trucks every year!! The Tundra is in the same category as the very high end supercars like Bugatti, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley, etc. They don't need to refresh or redesign their vehicles every year, because, the hold their value and out performs their competition!!! Go Tundra!

Nope, no thread. Just a hilarious camp fire conversation from a recent Death Valley trip. I don't wanna divulge their names but if you ask a question about it in the Turkey Run thread maybe someone will pipe up.

Yeah, hopefully they'll chime in. They were so funny about how they were hamming it up for commercial. "Ewww did you feel that? It just lowered itself on the highway. Yeah bud, now we're getting better gas mileage."

That's a solid point... Sure the Tundra is lacking in some of the whiz-bang gee wiz gizmos of other vehicles, and conceptually would benefit from a true locker setup, but it's an outstanding truck that continues to sell well and hold its own.

What's amazing is the 5.7 liter double overhead cam VVT motor in the Tundra is still more advanced than any other engine in a pickup truck and it's been what? 10 years?

I watched an interview with a Toyota engineer last year who basically said the Tundra factory is running at peak efficiency and there are few Tundras clogging dealer lots. Tundras have a solid reputation and are wildly envied and overbuilt. I remember several years ago toyota ran some ads showing the components. It went something along the lines of "here's our rear axle here's there's... Here's our differential and transfer case housing... Here's theirs."

I also remember several articles that stated that the Tundra mechanically, is built as a 3/4 or 1 ton truck and the only thing holding it back from that rating is the frame. I hope when Toyota engineers the tundra that they do a frame capable of 1 ton capacity.

I also wish that some of the conveniences and four wheel drive systems available in the Tacoma were available in the Tundra.

The Tundra really does need a factory in bed 120-volt outlet, locking tailgate, LED bed lights, and some of these other widely available factory options.

I prefer to do things like bed lights myself, then I get what I want and save a ton of dough over what it would cost from the factory. I absolutely agree it should be offered with a locker.

True! I think Toyota has taken a cautious approach to their pickup truck brands until recently. Whilst the big three domestic auto manufacturers have been dumping everything they have into their pickup trucks and SUVs, Toyota had been busy refining its cars. But, then the market for cars and trucks/SUVs changed in recent years. Now, Toyota has no choice but to step up to the plate for their pickup trucks and SUVs to be able to complete.

Until recent years, pickup trucks were just pickup trucks. They were being built just for hauling and work. However, Americans love of large vehicles has drawn them to pickup trucks. The love of pickup trucks stemmed the demand for like accessories for them as well. The big three quickly incorporated the most popular accessories into their pickup trucks and SUVs. Toyota has been slow to react in that fashion.

I do firmly believe that Toyota is going to bring it big time for their pickup trucks and SUVs very soon. They are going bring it just like they did with their luxury brand (Lexus), back in the 80s and 90s. I can’t wait to see what they do.

Man this talk about a locker kills me. It literally did about 3 years ago when I was in my z71 Tahoe and was on a Bridge in DFW about 20 stories up and the G80 Locker felt slip and decide to lock the rear. Lord of mercy, the rear end snapped the truck so hard it nearly lost control on the snowy bridge and missed the side of the bridge by inches. Those auto lockers can be dangerous as sin as well.

    Hilarious!
Back in the 1970's my family had a HiLux pickup truck that looked like that.

Funny you say Rebel but I guess I am stuck between the Rebel and the Tundra....

That was a actual package/edition from Toyota. A buddy of mine had one, and I've seen 3 more over the years.

If you plan to keep your truck past the pay off and warranty go, with the Tundra you'll be much happier you did. But if you're going to trade it in in 3 years and be covered by a warranty it doesn't really matter the deal is what will matter. I keep in mind the Rams drop in value far more than the Tundra.
