Hello, I have a 2018 honey comb insert and have been looking for the TRD pto insert which I believe is “Toyota” spelled out? I was looking at what you posted and I wanted to make sure I ordered the correct one. The link you provided in the OP for “Black Pro Grill 218” would be the correct insert right? Do I need anything special for the sensor? Or does it have a housing unit on the insert like my current grill? Thanks for your help!
P.s. I have chrome currently (see photo) and would like the black as I saw your comment about chrome being terrible to paint over.

    Anyways thanks again!

The only other part you would need is the sensor cover, 53141-34010. The sensor will bolt to the back of the grille.

Unfortunately, I’m too far away.. Shipping would likely be ridiculous. Thanks though!

It's a manually allocated part, meaning that Toyota will only release them to fix a damaged TRD Pro model. That may change in the future.

When I look up the part number through online parts centers it comes up as all 4 pieces as opposed to the kit. Are these service replacement parts?
Wondering what would happen if I placed the order? The websites are happy to take my money but I’m guessing someone on the back end would catch it and cancel the order...

Yep, that's exactly what would happen. They may even try to place the order with Toyota, but once they find out it is a MAC release part, they'd have to cancel it out.

My 2018 SR5 has the headlights with a single LED strip on the bottom as opposed to the dual led strips... To upgrade those to the 2019 TRD Pro headlights with the all black housing, is it full plug and play or would I need some sort of conversion harness like the @iHacker harness?

It’s been a couple months so figured I would check in... any updates or leads on when the suspension may be released from MAC status? Thanks!

@Roman Maybe I’m looking over the info, new here so please go easy on me.
If I buy the 2019 TRD Pro grille with the cover and the bulge, garnish, etc. can I put it on my 2018 Limited and use my TSS sensor without issue? TSS screws right to the 2019 pro grille?
    Straight forward install?

Just finished mine today. You just have to use all the hardware in your old grill but yes it fits perfectly!!

Still on manual allocation, and not being released to non-Pro Tundras.

    2017 Crew Cab Tundra SR5 ( w TRD package )
New to the forum. Trying to get rid of my gaudy chrome grill and bulge on a 2017 White SR5 crew cab. I've gotten conflicting reports of whether or not the grill pictured in Jamesmro's pic ( good looking truck btw ) will fit my 2017. I really want that exact style. Just with a white hood bulge and white perimeter around that black grill. I understand that it will have a hole. ( I'll figure the sensor part out after ). Just to be certain I'll attach the grill that I want to get. The chrome one is what I have currently on my truck.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks dude. And yes, the 2019 pro grill will definitely work on your truck. You can even use the sensor cover to cover the hole if you want without the sensor behind it, though that would be an expensive route I guess since you don't actually need it for the TSS sensor.

Anyways, it'll work, and it'll look great.

New to the forum I'm waiting on delivery of a 2019 SR5. Would it be possible to swap out the honeycomb grill with a 2019 pro grill? I ask my dealer and they mentioned to me that the TSS sensor doesn't match. Thanks in advance.

I installed mine 2 weeks ago. The parts guy has to look them up under accessories for a 2019.

I got mine for $2880 shipped.

I’ve recently been informed that my dealership wasn’t supposed to sell them to me due to their MAC rules. I guess I got lucky!

Anyway, the truck looks like any other leveled tundra. The front is now 2” higher than stock.

I have bought myself a 2019 Tundra SR5 with the TRD Pro OFFRoad 4x4 package and looking to take off all the chrome on my truck I just don’t like it‍♀️ I was reading on this thread that this PRO GRILL set up fit on tss models but this also fits on SR5 models yes??

Yes, all grilles 2014+ are interchangeable. If you have TSS, you'll have to get one that is compatible or get a custom bracket.

Yep, they are lock nuts. They should help to hold the garnish to the grille insert. Install one on each bolt after the garnish has been installed. You may or may not be able to install them with the sensor in place. If you look at the back of your old grille, you’ll see the same set up so it should give you a good idea as to where they go.
