Yea that’s exactly what I was thinking.. gonna wait for cousin to help me lift it up and see if it’s touching both sides or not.. maybe it wouldn’t burn the tire???? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Finally got it up there. It’s close to the pipes.. I’ll drive around a little and see if any problems occur, or at least be able to drive to the shop and redo the pipes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know 35 is the biggest people say will fit. What about a deflated 37? (I carry air compressor anyway.)

If not, what about a deflated 37 with a wratchet strap around it so it doesn’t touch any thingys?

If yes, think the strap would permanently mess up the tire? I’d be removing it every 4-5 months anyway to do a 5-tire rotation.

I bought the 35 since others said it would fit.. mine was a tight squeeze but it’s up there with no removing of anything.. it’s close to my exhaust but I drove around the last 2 hours and checked every time I got out and nothing is biting or melting rubber. So it’s a done deal.. my tires are 37’s also.. but the 35 will work for getting to a tire shop or out of a jam if needed .. just like putting a dounut on a small car anyway. But the 35 is a lot closer to the 37 than a donut to a reg tire

No, didn’t cut anything. I thought of cutting them anyways just so it would go up more maybe but I just left it alone for now.

I'm running Falken Wildpeak 325/65r28 equal to a 34.6x12.5r18 with -18 offset, will this work?

Are most you guys adding dame brand spare tire as your regular tires or a cheaper and little smaller size to save some money...... I have 295 70 18s Nitto Ridge Grapplers and still had my stock spare on there and in 11 yrs of ownership I've never used the spare or had to so I was wondering if going with a 285 or even 275 with cheap brand would be a good idea?

I wanted the same brand and aftermarket wheel, but being the cheapskate that I am, I ordered the cheapest tire I could find online of the same size as the rest and had a shop install it on the spare steel wheel. Mind you, my wheels are 17” Icons with 285/75/17 Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs (33.8” diameter). Since the steel spare is 18”, I went with a 285/70/18 tire (BFG Muds - cheapest I found at the time and 33.7” diameter). I figure the spare is supposed to be a temporary fix until I can get the other tire to a shop to fix or replace so it didn’t matter. But if I weren’t such a cheapskate, I’d prefer to have the same exact wheel and tire combo and include it in my regular tire rotation.

I have a cooper st maxx 295/70r18 on the stock steel rim. TRD dual exhaust and toytec shackles, clears everything fine. Ground off the stock support tabs and pushed the tire all the way towards the rear of the truck.

Here is a pic of the driver's side.

Maybe i'll try for a better pic if i get it up on a lift or something.
