I have a set of front and rear off my 2010 Tundra approx miles on shocks is around 22,000. One of the front and rears both have a small leak so they need to be rebuilt. I already purchased the kit and it included in the sale. They are dirty and have some surface rust that can be cleaned off during the rebuild. Two boxes totaling around 98lbs. Just Dropped the price to the first person with $1100, you pay shipping.

You wouldn't be interested in trading for Matte Bronze SCS Ray10 wheels would you?

Ill be the one to say the obvious,

If its just "surface rust"...why not take the little elbow time to clean them up. Lot of people here for the bling, if they don't bling - they move along. Then you could get more $ as well.

    Just my 2 cents...

    GLWS

To add, FWIW....i bought a set of coilovers from someone who said they were in great shape minus a little surface rust. What they didnt tell me was the damn rust was embedded into the shocks, shafts were pitted to shit. Come to find out, the pics he sent me were from when he purchase them months prior....ended up filing and got some $ back. /rant

They do look like shit for something that only has 22k mi on it but the real show stopper for me is the fact they they are leaking and need to be rebuilt after only 22k mi? That doesn't scream quality to me.

I think the OP would have much better luck selling these if he took the time to clean and rebuild them himself.

I guess depending on how he used then 22K isn't bad. Some folks can run their kings or Icons and rebuild them at 15K. Also the condition they lived in makes a huge difference as well.

I might try to clean them up based on the reactions, I do already have all the shocks and rebuild kit boxed up already because I had a buyer and he changed his mind after I went to UPS with them. The truck sat in a garage for almost 7 straight years with only weeekend runs to Home Depot etc from the previous owner. He was a pharmaceutical rep who had a business car so he never drove the truck. I know he drove it in the rain but not the snow. I just figured dropping it to 11 with the rebuild kit was a killer deal, dirt and surface rust and all. I spend the time unboxing them and cleaning them all up I have to jack up the price.

So heres my idea, whoever wants these with the new rebuild kit Ill let them go for a $1000. We are in winter and I have no where to clean these things until spring. If no one buys them then Ill wait until spring and cut them out of the sealed box there in and clean them up and sell them for $1500. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with them except they didnt get enough use and need new seals which is included in the Icon rebuild kit along with new oil. There is some surface rust that can be cleaned off during the rebuild. So any takers?? Yes Im being lazy but for a few hundred dollars I dont really care to get all dirty anymore or make my garage a mess...lol

Oxnard, CA will be around $225 considering the last guy who wanted them was from MT and it was $188 for him. Send me $1225 and ill ship them today.

I just bought a brand new set of these. Why are you parting with them already?

Icon says on-road use they need to be rebuilt at 40k. Off-road is typically 15k so it sounds like the timing makes sense if they were used as intended

Because I originally was going to take them off and rebuild them and I ended up buying mediocre replacements shocks and coil overs So I can keep driving the truck and then have them rebuild whenever I found someone to do the work and I ended up liking the mediocre shocks I have on because I only drive the truck on the road and then I couldn’t find anybody to rebuild the Icons in Albany so I’d rather just sell them and try to recover the money I spent buying replacement shocks because I don’t go off road at all. I know they’re a little over $3000 for new ones but they do have some surface rust that needs to be cleaned off and they have to be rebuilt so who ever buys them for thousand dollars is going to get a killer deal. Oh and I already bought a rebuild kit and Icon oil that’s included with the deal.
