i currently have the have the 1st generation of TRD exhaust (I believe) it’s a dual in-out muffler (traditional looking unlike the turbine looking style today. It has almost no voice, I hear the supercharger fire up, my tires, but nothing from the exhaust. I think it’s time to get a new one, I ordered a borla xs pro (xl) dual in-out muffler today & plan on swapping the TRD muffler for this. Anyone ever try this? I looked thru threads and borla / TRd results in 1000’s of threads and haven’t seen much. My first thought was to contact dirtydeeds and haven’t had a lot of luck over the past few weeks getting a response . Plus the $990-1200 Trd replacement isn’t exactly the same as swapping a muffler. Wish I could afford a bolt on option like that36B01BD0-F51D-4B4A-952A-76B55F003895.jpg

I’d like something with some rumble, a little throaty rumble (that v8 sound). But I am not looking to have a lot of drone at cruising speeds. As of now even in a tunnel it just sounds like a f16 jet

    Honestly, go BAMuffler!
I had the 6” system and it’s amazing. His helmholtz resonator is perfect to kill the drone. Very throaty, you’ll know you have a V8, but NO drone at all.

The 8” is a little quieter (id say closer to the trd setup). But sounds like it would be up your alley!

    Give Keith a call.

I have, 3-4x’s and 5 emails and dm and haven’t gotten anything back. People got stuff going on and I get that so I was looking into other options. Aren’t all these setups 6”/8” single exhausts using a y pipe? I’m not sure I can goto a single exhaust

I would have gladly just bought 2 bamufflers but they’re is literally 0 info them on the site and even less On the web, so to order $300 worth of mufflers and not know any dimension or even what they look like and can’t reach the shop that sells them.

That doesn’t sound like Keith at all...must just be the holidays.

Whatcha want to know? The 6”/8” system does go into a single pipe....do you have the stock tail pipe?

    Hmmmm,..

Not sure why I haven’t responded.

But I have a bolt on solution for your situation. It will allow you to use your existing dual tailpipes.

Or I can send you a pair of mufflers. Then you can make your own X pipe?

    Or...

The options are literally limitless and are bolt on or weld on.

With 15 years of experience that I freely share.

I’m pretty good at getting back. But I do have help in the office getting back to people as well so your messages maybe slipped thru the cracks?

I’m available hit or miss thru the long weekend. Give a call. 760-877-4234

I figured maybe the holidays or as a business owner myself I know that things come up. So what would u recommend, I know I should call and discuss but I imagine the info might help others in this situation

I have looked a 1000x’s at the Trd replacement (love the idea of a bolt on solution) and asked in a email (contact us part on ur site) if ur aware of any group buys that I could get in on cause I imagine after shipping from CA to Philly will prolly make that just outta of my price range.

Ok. For some reason our contact us doesn’t go to my phone. We’ve been lookin into it.

I should be able to stay subscribe to this thread and help tho:)

The 07-09 trd exhaust is a stick tenneco muffler with two outlets and custom dual tailpipe for driver side. Pretty sure passenger side is a stock tailpipe.

We have a trd dual exhaust for:
    Double cab regular bed
    Crewmax
    Regular cab short bed
    And single cab long bed

We just need to fixture the rear section and we can build you something that will bolt into your truck and those tailpipes of yours will bolt right to the system.

If we go that route I would suggest two separate mufflers and an X pipe with helmholtz resonators to kill drone. This system will gain Hp tq and more importantly LOW END torque.

With how rare that systrm is you may also consider selling it. The huge 2 3/4” tailpipes aren’t good for low end torque or drone control.
