Disclaimer, this build started from being a member on this website.

It all started in November of 2017, when i visited a local dealership to see what was new and special about the new 2018s. At the time i was in a 2014 4x2 TSS.
    20140826_182245.jpg

I walked in to see a new color i had never seen before. Obviously it was on the showroom floor and had dealer mods done to it. So i knew it would be out of my price range, but i entertained the sales guy and had him run numbers for me. He returned to tell me i couldnt afford it. It was at that point i left, but not before finiding ourt the color of the truck i fell in love with.

Not too long after that. I went to visit with another dealership, the one i bought my 2014 from. Told him what i was looking for, so he hopped on his computer and told me they would have 1 available in about 2 weeks. It was at that point we started playing the numbers game and within an hour we had agreed to terms. On Dec 17, 2017 is when i picked her up. Isnt she beautiful? This was all before i found this site. I had negotiated a level kit, bigger tires and leather seats.

    Before

    SmartSelectImage_2017-12-21-18-29-59.jpg

And after i drive off the lot begins my headaches witht the Pre-Collision issues, of the new Toyota Safety Sense. When i got home, i started researching, and came across this site. Amongst, my research here, i found out blocks and spacers are horrible for your truck. Little did i know, the dealer uses blocks and spacers, for level kits. Amongst fighting my battle with the Pre-Collision, i started doing my research for suspensions, as i knew i needed to get blocks and spacers off my truck. It was at this point, that the mod bug had sunk its teeth in. Prior to doing my suspension though, i knew i needed an exhaust. Based off this website and reviews, i reached out to Keith at dirty deeds. I decided ok n a TRD replacement, without mufflers, added resonators and went with a dual dump. I had also decided to move forward with Bilsteins 6112 (Top Setting)/5160 setup. I also added CB +2 Shackles in rear, 1 driver side CB shim for lean, and a TRD rear sway bar.

A couple months after doing suspension, about June or so, i decided it was time to do something about my audio problem. We all know what that is. So after months of researching, comparing and debating, i decided to go with the Taco Tunes SQ1 package, with 2-10" subs and added the sound matting. Shortly after adding the stereo i decided i needed some lighting upgrades. So i ordered up my Winjet knockoff taillights, better reviews on fitment and quality, and a ton VLEDs. For both inside and out. I dont have any pictures of audio install as i drove to Taco Tunes and let them put it in.

About the August time frame, i knew what my end game was and what i needed and wanted to do next. So thats when the Genesis Offroad dual battery mount with Odyssey's came into play and the Switch Pros got ordered. I knew i was doing alot of lights and not only needed the power, but wanted a seperate battery in case anything shorted out and draining a battery, it wouldnt leave me stranded. I mounted the Switch Pro on top of the fuse box, along with a block, as i saw on here. Added LED battery monitor, inside as seen in picture. I mounted the internal switch for the switch pro in beween shifter and center console (No Pic)20180819_085349.jpg

Then comes the fun and expensive part, big lights, winch, sliders and bumpers. I initially wanted to go with Pelfreybilt, i loved there designs, but after the fallout i was left not liking anything. Then when i saw another person on here post the ADD stealth bumper, i fell in love all over again. ADD offroad Stealth Fighter bumpers, both front and rear. Along with a ton of Baja Designs Lights and SDHQ brackets. Baja Designs lights include 40" s8, 40" onX6, XL 80 ambers on A-pillar 2-10" ambers as fogs in front bumper and a set of squadron Pros in the rear bumper. SDHQ, hood bulge brackets, A pillar mounts, and sliders. My resoning behind all this was, if you do something do it right thats why i went with the Baja Designs stuff. As for as all the SDHQ stuff, it gets good reviews, customer service iis great, quality built, and they stepped up when Pelfrey fell out. These are the kind of businesses i like to support. Now here comes a photo dump.

    20181030_072101.jpg 20181027_191230.jpg 20181027_192415.jpg 20181031_145501.jpg 20181031_145802.jpg 20181101_095633.jpg 20181101_115258.jpg 20181109_191336.jpg 20181111_133603.jpg 20181111_133718.jpg 20181111_175953.jpg IMG_07871.jpg IMG_07881.jpg IMG_07911.jpg IMG_07921.jpg

After all the hard stuff was done, i added my full set of RCI skid plates. It was a snug fit getting the front one on with the bumper but worked out beautifully.
    20181112_090819.jpg
    20181112_090328.jpg
No photo of fuel or trans skids yet.

Then for the final piece of the puzzle. Wheels and tires. Again wasnt really sure what i was going to go with until i was having a convo with someone here and they pointed out a wheel to me that i fell in love with. The Black Rhino Walords, in Matte Gunmetal 18x9 +12 Offset. Was also unsure about tire size, but i love my BFG KO2s, and options were limited. So i decided 35x12.5s it was. Was really excited and nervous at 1st but it all worked out in the end. I still need ro do a BMC, due to the occasional rub on drivers side but i already have the plates and am scheduled to get it done.

To a few members and vendors that played a special part in this, a VERY BIG THANK YOU!! Whether it was physical help, idea help, or inspiration. Also to the vendors who made the awesome stuff i was able to put on my truck.

How did you get leather seats? Do you have limited or platinum? I got SR5 with off road package, same color as yours, but I got fabric upholstery. I'm from Canada, so its possibly not available on SR5. I am waiting for my winjet lights. Just installed my LED interior lights a few days ago.

Nice. Wish my dealer could do that. My parents take my truck around for the winter, and my dad loves fabric more.
