    Hello,

I just received the Evo One remote starter from WarmCarNow. His video is not up to date with his plug and play version. So can anyone tell me what the below cable is used for and where would i plug it in?

    TIA

Just plug it into the module and zip tie it to all the other wires. It is for your hood but the functionality is not enabled; therefore, you do not need to mount it anywhere.

Sorry ... I stand corrected below from @TRD15559 . I thought it was the hood pin trigger.

It's the valet switch to disable the remote starter when. The truck is brought in for service. I installed the same product on my Tundra last week and just left it out.

Thanks for the replies. Where do you all have it installed or hanging out?

    Bigdaddy,
Is there anything I should be aware of for the install? Was it easy? Did you have to remove the air bag or were you able to connect the cable with out removing the bag?

I removed the airbag, it wasn't necassary but opened things up to work. If I had to do another like my truck I wouldn't now that I know exactly where everything is. Using the T harness it's an easy install. The hardest part is removing the trim. I had to solder 2 wires to TPMS wire so that I could unlock the truck with the remote once it's running. On a 2015 I think the wore you need for that is on the passenger side and called "keysense"?

The only issue I had was after the install the alarm would go off Everytime I remote started the truck. There is an orange wire in the accessory bundle that needs to be connected to the BCM plug. That's the alarm disable wire. I connected it to the appropriate wire in the T harness to avoid having to tap any more factory wires than necassary. Once triggered, the truck is supposed to unlock before starting and lock itself a couple seconds after starting. Unlocking is how it disables the alarm.

I installed the Warmcarnow on my 2016. Its a very easy install. You don't have to disconnect the driver airbag. I just left it sitting leaning on the side. The hardest part was pulling the trim apart. There is no soldering since the t harness on the passenger side takes care of that. You just need to positap into one wire like the directions. Super easy.

    Hi Tinman,
In my instructions I do not see where i need to positap into the wire. Am I missing something? This kit looks to be a true plug and play kit. Also can anyone explain to me why cutting the yellow wire for automatic transmissions? I am just curious how it all works.

    Thanks!

The dotted line coming from pin A19 on the unit. I was mistaken about the keysense wire being on the passenger side on the G key trucks. It appears that the wire that needs to be tapped is on the driver's side. This is only if you have a factory alarm.

My truck required connecting 2 seperate wires from the unit to the TPMS wire, soldering is my electrical connection of choice in that situation but for a wire that requires only a tap such as the keysense connection, I would use a positap or t tap.

I don't know the reasoning behind the yellow wire needing to be cut for auto transmission, my wire was already cut when I got the unit. Probably a safety feature for the manual transmission vehicles.

I believe the posi tap is for factory alarm .do you have one?

Yes you do have to cut that yellow wire for automatic transmission. I'm not sure why but it is required. I see your tundra is 2015 and mine was 2016 so I am not sure of the difference. You can always text him with the number provided. He is very helpful.

Thank you much I glad you both pointed out that I need to positap the factory alarm. It looks straight forward but by any chance any videos on the process?

    Thanks again!

Thanks again! I installed it yesterday. Hardest parts was just removing the panels. Even the positap was simple.

I ended up not buying from them because after I ordered they were radio silent too long. Couldn't get ahold of them for a long time. When I did, the guy was a huge dick. Good luck.

Rolled the dice and came out on top. Got it in about 4 days and installed in about 45 min. For $180 I can't complain.

https://youtu.be/KL2pXH3IHtc 12 volt solutions video on Youtube best one I found. I purchased mine from warm car now with the fortin remotes. I Have had no problems. The Fortin remotes let you start, stop, and extend run time, also it has flashing light to let you know it's running.

I got the remote start from same seller. Remote start works but it won’t lock driver door after remote start is activated. Did anyone else run into this?
