Title pretty much says it all! I am about to put a 3/1 on my 2015 Crew Max. With that, I am going to put on 35s with a 20 inch rim. Everything I am reading says it will be impossible to avoid the CMC. Does anyone know of a shop around Bristol TN that does that?

    Thanks!

i live in unicoi tn, i put a 2.5 leveling kit on on mine and no lift in the rear and i cleared 35x12.50r18s fine. i didnt have to cut or trim anything. i dont even hit the skidplate at all lol im running spidertraxx spacers up front thats it. the 2015 tundras might be different though on clearances. i have an 08. JB autoworks in kingsport can do it, he knows his stuff.

Do you remember what your back spacing was? I believe that 08 and up are all about the same when it comes to rubbing! Id love to stay away from the chop!

it is the stock wheels im trying to remember what the backspacing is. i had a hard time trying to find someone to actually mount them up though. every big name shop was too worried stuff would rub and they didnt want to be liable. finally found a shop to do it lol everything should clear unless youre doing crazy offroad stuff. my clearances are very tight though with the 35s. mainly near the cab mount. i do offroad in the truck but nothing too crazy as its my daily. id advise you to take the wheels and tires separate from the truck so you can avoid the drama of shops telling you it wont fit if you can..

Seems like a pretty healthy TN community on here. I know Bristol is a ways from...everything, but @Erichudgins and his crew might "know a guy" that can help if you're willing to go to Middle TN.

btw, i might be clearing alot easier than most because the bfg ko2s are a smaller 35, and they were about 50% tread when i picked them up. got them for $200 for all four so i couldnt pass it up to be on 35s lol

I appreciate it! I feel like I would be better off asking a virginia crew than a TN crew with how far away I am lol

True that. I personally would try it without the CMC. Seems like a lot of guys can get along without doing it.

I don't have any pics with me on this laptop. Check this out, post 2277. I'm on 33 x 12.5s and wish I had gone 35 at least. I ended up trimming just a bit of the plastic in the wheel well, but no CMC. 3/1 leveling kit for what it's worth. Otherwise stock suspension.

I don't wanna jack your thread. My apologies.

Check out @Bannock452 's build thread. He did his own CMC. Granted, he's an ace when it comes to welding, but he talks about it like it's no big deal.

Hey brother! Hit up @Hattori he works at the local 4wp and they can hook you up I know it's a holiday weekend but were planning a meet and trail run for Saturday if you'd like to join! As far as it fitting, it's all in your backspacing.. that being said.. every truck is different. I ran 35x12.50 18s on my truck with plenty of clearance and no cmc... but when I sold them to @lunchbox they rubbed. Every truck is setup different. That being said you should be able to put them on regardless as long as it's not some crazy offset. Head over to the TN tundra owners thread and join the group!

Where are you located @Hattori ? If in Nashville, would you know anyone closer to say, Knoxville? Nashville is awfully far for a cmc!

Also, what would be wrong with chopping it but not covering it back up as long as it is painted?

Man; I haven't really heard of a great shop in Knoxville. We're putting a store there rumored to be next year. As far as the chop, you can leave it exposed if you like. Mine is.

Thats a game changer if I can just leave it exposed. I don't have a clue how to weld! Any pics of what yours looks like?
