    Hello all,
I search and couldn't find anything on pro comp. I was thinking of getting a 6" pro comp lift on my tundra but don't like the front end to be high and rear sagging. Is it a pro comp thing? I like it to be more level. I was thinking about the readylift kit too any thoughts?

    Thanks,

A 3/1 is level. You can figure it out from there.

@Tundrasr5 The front of our trucks sit lower than the bed. This is so when we tow or have stuff in the bed it will make up for it. They call it a "leveling kit" because it makes the truck sit level with the front and back. 3/1 means 3 inches of lift in the front and 1 inch in the rear. Hope this helps!

The pro comp will be level. Depending on the stage you choose it’s either a spacer for on top of your front coil or if you get stage 2 it’s an entirely new adjustable coil over. The rear is lifted by blocks. They are 3”.

If I was 2wd I would go with a spindle lift. MaxTrac preferably!

It's not the Procomp, It's the soft Toyota springs in the rear. Within 6 months I had to install a 1 inch shackle to get it back to level. I also tow regularly.

This! I thought the same thing as well but realized quickly once I loaded the bed. All that will change when I add RideRite bags. Still researching (here) how my lift will affect my towing capabilities.

Most 6"-7" lifts use the same ratio.. 6"-7" up front and 4" in the rear. The Procomp kit uses a 3" block and a 1" add a leaf. over time the AAL ends up settling and will notice the truck react a bit different. You'll also notice a different stance if your truck has a 38 Gal fuel tank. When setting this lift up we normally add 1.25" to the Stage I via +2" Coachbuilder shackles or 1.75" to the Stage II via +3" Coachbuilder Shackles, Not only does your traction control appreciate it but if your truck is a 2018-2019 the Proximity sensors need it.

** You will also need to add a larger carrier bearing drop kit in order to correct the opinion angle, I'll list it.

Im still a newbie, Thanks to you all. Lots of good info here.

I was about to purchase the pro comp but now leaning towards the superlift kit 6".
Does anyone have any experience with the superlift kit? Yes my tundra is a 2wd and that's why I'm having a hard time looking for lift kits. I have already made a appointment to a shop next week for this superlift kit.
Any pros and cons are welcome, please let me know. Don't want to spend $ on something I will regret later. Btw, I'm just looking for a budget lift kit, nothing crazy.
    Thanks.

Just curious about something I was told before. I asked a shop about putting a shackle on my tundra. They said no, not on a full size pickup. Why would they say that?

They are mostly likely not familiar with the benefit of properly sized shackles. Especially when it comes to the Tundra.. We work with installers daily, While most have the experience and knowledge to recommend parts that will complement
the vehicles suspension we still run into shops that think of shackles as being a way to lifting a old 70"s muscle car. Technology has come a long way :)

if you or your installer have any questions please feel free to reach out.

Since allot of lift kits only go 3" in the rear, if we add lift with shackles will that require different carrier bearings as well? Curious cause I wasnt sure what shackles +blocks do to all the angles.

Also what is your opinion on just getting different leaf springs? I saw skyjacker makes a 4-4.5" lifted rear spring. Could we use something like that and just kill off the blocks altogether?

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
Air bag it for 1000 bucks that should be a barebones system, had one on another truck worked great for towing to.

    Or go to coach builder

I agree spindle is the best way to lift a 2wd.

Check out cst spindles. Stronger than maxtrac, yes more $ though but higher quality

I had a 7in put on my truck with the pro Comp tires and rims and It does not sit Leve pluss have a vibration at 50 to 60 miles an HR and keep taking it back to the lift shop and all I get is excuses and to spend more money to try to fix the problem, never had that with my other lift kits, even called pro Comp direct and same thing nothing but excuses, $7000.00 in lift and tires and rims and have to hear excuses, they say 5year 60,000 mile warranty not so once out the door your done. I even asked them before it was done about the guarantie and they gave me the paper work. Not so big joke. Once they have your money you are done, they even charged me $40.00 to rotate the tires they said might be the problem

I have pro computer stage 2 6” lift and the rear sit 1.5” - 1.75” lower than front. If i install these shackles it will raise rear and pretty much level or higher in the back? Do I need to get truck realigned after install?

No alignment needed after installing the shackles. You'll also want to increase the size of the carrier bearing drop kit. I'll include links.

I doesn't require anything special, floor jack, jack stands, basic metric wrench and socket set, torque wrench and will need to borrow a ball joint press tool from your local auto parts store.
