I bought one on ebay for under $20. You can spend a lot more money on them, but I thought Id try this out first. It works great, produces a bunch of foam that clings well. I also ended up buying me an electric pressure washer to use with it from Lowes. So far im really liking it. It allows me to clean the fender wells and underneath the truck. Also I didnt buy any special soap for it, Right now im using black magic wet-n-wash ( i think thats what its called). But Ill probably buy Meguiars Gold class next.

MTM PF22 is my main cannon. It's a little spendy but I like the build quality, consistency and versatility over the "no-namer" that I was using previously.

For winter washing, I just picked-up an IK 9 foam sprayer; no pressure washer required.

The MTM is $85 on Amazon ($100 on the chemical guys website).

You can get the IK 9 from $90-$100.

    I use this one:

MATCC Adjustable Foam Cannon 1 Liter Bottle Snow Foam Lance With 1/4" Quick Connector Foam Blaster for Pressure Washer Gun https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CE78VO8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_B-S8Bb2RS5DG7

It’s cheap, and works great. I’m not sure where any improvement can be had by spending more money.

I also have this one. It cost twice as much, and doesn’t work nearly as well in my opinon:

McKillans Foam Cannon Professional Grade Adjustable Lance Pressure Washer Jet Wash with 1/4” Quick Connector https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D6KPV3G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_U.S8Bb4QQ4VH3

The jars on most foam cannons have a very narrow neck opening. This makes it hard to rinse out the jar, or to pour in the very thick detergents, like Meguiars "Gold Class Car Wash".
I found a wide-mouth foam cannon at Amazon , holds 1.5 liters (often enough for 2 cars without refill), and the wide base resists tipping over.

I bought a Simonoz pressure washer, and it comes with a foam cannon. There are foam guns, and foam cannons. I believe foam cannons work better.

I suspect you're correct, but I don't want to have to break out the pressure washer every time I want to wash the truck, so looking at the guns as well as cannons.

So...I have the 20.00 Amazon 'no name' foam cannon, and it works pretty well. For Christmas, I got an MTM PF22 cannon. There's no comparison in the build quality, and it does indeed foam better than the Amazon one. Is it worth the additional money?....that would be up to you. I keep my Amazon one for pre-wash solution, and will likely get another one should I start using Griots Poly Gloss. Both are fitted with the smaller 1.1mm orifice, as I'm using a SunJoe SPX3000 pressure washer, which is rated at 2030 psi and 1.76 gpm.

I did the Griots garage prewash with the PF22 cannon and got a ton of foam but got half of the foam using the Poly gloss. The poly gloss didn’t seem to work as good as the prewash for some reason.

There are 2 versions. This one lets you adjust the ratio. I have hooked up to my faucet with soft water. Had it for 3+years. Works great.

That is a foam gun, and as stated, attaches to your hose. I have one as well, and it works great. Foam cannons attach to a pressure washer, and are an entirely different animal.

I recently got the Adams Polishes foam cannon. Got a great deal on it after my ceramic coating i got done there.
    https://adamspolishes.com/adam-s-foam-cannon-car-washer.html

The foam is a bit on the watery side. Was doing some searching and found that the orfice is too large and should be changed out with a smaller one to get better thicker foam.
Here is what i purchased to swap out and hopefully get thicker foam.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FDBFZ6B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The foam cannon says to use a pressure washer with a minimum of 1.3 GPM flow and 870 PSI for proper operation.
The pressure washer i have meets these requirements. 1.76 GPM | 2030 PSI

I just picked up that foam cannon with adapter made for my karcher electric power washer. Pretty shocked by how heavy it is, more brass than plastic for sure. What kind of soap do you prefer in yours? I know you have to mix soap and water in the canister. I guess I will just need to play with ratios? I have CG maxisuds2 that I plan to try first.
Did you have to change out the orifice size at all?
