Looks awesome. What prep work has to be done to the chrome?

Im not 100% sure. The body shop I went to took care of all of it. Pretty sure they had the strip the top layer and go from there. I made sure that when I called around that the shop I went with mentioned properly prepping the chrome. Few of them didnt mention anything about it. Grill them a bit, make sure they know what theyre doing,

Also, do you have the link to those grab handles on your front seat head rests? I like the way those look [as opposed to the ones I have been looking at]. Thanks

Great company to work with. I hit them up and told them I wanted to match the quicksand color but didnt know exactly what color that should be of theirs, and they took care of me.

Did you have to do body mount chops to fit those 35's? And did it rub on the front bumper as well?

Only rubbed on the front, so had to do some trimming on the skid plate and front bumper

That is a sweet set up. I have the exact some truck except a 2019 and in Cement. Going to do the same after seeing these pics. Was debating about the titanium Icon rims but after seeing this I am leaning towards black. I need to find a body shop that would paint my chrome pieces. Already did the door handles, mirrors and badges.

Might want to also consider buying those parts already in your color from sparksparts or toyotaofcoolsprings. Depending on what the shops around you would charge to have them painted, might make just as much sense to buy them and then sell your chrome.

I work for Toyota and am trying to figure out which way is cheaper. The grills are expensive.

Having all my chrome painted cost $1k. grille, surround, bulge, bumper caps, mirror caps. Bonus, I got to keep the paint they didnt use.

    Paint Matched from Yota...
front bumpers end caps - $240
2018 Platinum grille, surround and hood bulge - $775
2019 Pro grille, surround and hood bulge - $756

another question. What is the difference between the tubular control arms and the most expensive ones that Icon makes? Just weight? Any difference on tire clearence between the two?

A lot depends on what you are doing and if you need the ability to adjust rod ends and then the joint types. Tubular uses the Delta joints which dont need much maintenance (if any), the billet use heim joints and tend to need more maintenance. Billet are adjustable, tubular arent.

If its just a daily driver that sees dirt here and there, Tubular are great. Hell, even if you are beating it up, tubular are still good.

I was talked out of billet FWIW. I think billet look better, but not $500+ better.

Yeah...I will probably go with the same ones you have. I am looking at the stage 6 though. How do you like the Icon set up over the TRD off road shocks?

also debating going with Nitto Ridge Grapplers but the 35's run a little bigger then the Ko2's. Kind of worried about fitting them. How much room do you have (besides the front bumper) with the K02's? Could you fit more tire. Like .3 of an inch?

Icon is superior to the TRD offroad packages IMO. There is a reason I bought a LTD and upgraded to what I wanted, instead of buying a pro or even the offroad package. Especially going up to a Stage 6. You get customization with the Stage 6 to dampen the shocks how you want it.

Shouldnt be an issue, but talk to whatever shop you are thinking of going through to get their opinion.

I just don't want to do a body mount chop. I can get the labor done at the Toyota dealership where I work. There is a guy that knows how to do the supension stuff. Crap I would do it if I had time and could use our lift

I hear you,t hat was my biggest worry too. THere is enough going on that will hinder warranties and I didnt want to do anymore than I had to.

From what I can see on my setup, .3in wouldnt be an issue. I would still call a couple offroad shops that specialize with Yotas and get their 2 cents.

Think I might go with 305 70 17. Just to be totally sure and also to maybe save on gas a little bit. Did your MPG change a lot?
