Yes oem CVs. That dude that snapped his cv like that had to have wheeling so dumb. My buddy is running 37s on his 97 4runner with stock CVs. The CVs between our trucks are the same, just ours are longer. He has yet to ever snap one and he wheels it. You just can't gun it when your tire is hung up, that's how axles snap. Wheel smarter, not harder.

Installed new front diff breather next to what I believe is the transmission breather. Can’t be the tranfercase breather as that one is directly on top of the case (contradicting the Toy spec diagrams).

Installed Homemade Sound Enhancing Butyl Rubber with Foil strips on the back doors. Also added some packing foam blocks from a delivery box inside what little cavity space is inside these doors. Took about an hour. The stereo sounds so much better now! Clearer and deeper sounds.

Maybe a little quieter as far as road noise. Just a little. The music, though, is amazingly better. I can’t wait to do the front doors.

OEM CVs are the only way to go. A buddy has been through 4 non-oem CVs doing nothing overboard... Let’s just say he is going to OEMs next.

Yep oem for most things. Lower ball joints and CVs are a must for oem. But my 4runner power steering rack is auto zone with better bushings. So it depends on what you're replacing.

It’ll be a few weeks. Buying the co’s this week and waiting for the uppers and spindle gussets to arrive. Soo much money spent this week and much more to spend!

Nice! You’ll beat me to new tires. I need to find someone local to buy my Cooper Discoverers so I can upgrade quicker. Still got too much meat left on these suckers

Lol my wife would love that. And over here I’m already trying to brain storm ideas on how to convince her a Dirty Deeds Exhaust is necessary...

It's a safety device. If other cars hear you coming your odds of being hit are decreased dramatically. I'll make up some statistics if you need them.

Another reason I love being single. Got me on that one, I would rather go 4.56’s than exhaust.

Installed a BAK F1 tonneau to replace the original vinyl roll up version with old Velcro on the sides- it came with the truck and worked ok but leaked a bit and I was concerned about its minimal security. I’d had a BAK G2 on my Ridgeline and really liked it so got this model.
Real simple installation even though the instructions were not all that clear. I’m pretty happy to have a secure, out of sight storage for my winter gear and other stuff I will be hauling to Montana.
Yes, it was a bit frosty here on Whidbey, but we’ll see a lot worse at Glacier National Park this week. Looking forward to letting the Tundra play in the snow!54C7D4D0-C380-4098-A5E5-737DF602FE4E.jpg
Here’s a pic in a parking garage this morning in Seattle. Like the 1 Gen clearance!
