I have a 2017 SR5 Crewmax and am looking for solutions on under seat storage for the rear seat. I do not want to spend $200, and was wanting to come up with a budget-friendly solution. I was thinking about getting some shallow cat litter pans and cutting the sections out and just dropping the pans in. Has anyone done anything similar? I have the Weathertech floor mats, so would have to cut them as well. Thoughts?

Not bad, but I want more storage space and a cleaner look. I'm just wondering what parts of the foam I can cut out and what might be under there I'd have to be careful not to cut.

There was a guy on here that used plastic bins like that a while back. It turned out really good.

Thanks for all the info. I may tackle this in the near future. Walmart had a pack of 4 litter pans I think will work for less than 5 bucks. Would be nice if I could get all 4 under there.

I wish there was an affordable solution... something in between the DYI plastic bins and the ultra expensive ESP options. Guess I will hold off for a used ESP?

Will removing the foam cause more noise to come into the cab?

    Definitely stealing this idea!

Gary in the link above said no noticable road noise. You keep the layer of sound deadener from under the carpet I think.
