Sorry for the dumb question, but what is the purpose of hanging the ball hitch from there? Is it for a more secure storage?

Next (Pop and Lock - all ready in the garage) and Led Bed lights. Considering the OEM lights vs the @mattgecko lights. (Matt - is the installation of your light kit similar to the OEM installation? I'd like the lights to come on when the cargo lights come on and/or when the tailgate opens. If thats too much complexity for a novice, I'll settle for just the cargo lights.

 

Interested in seeing pictures of your diamondback se and 8" cross bin.

@equin - love my bin. Adds so much functionality and usable space to the bed. I thank Mike daily for letting me buy it off him! I will snap some pics once I get the snow shoveled off the Diamondback HD.

Love that pic, truck looks great and the house and land is beautiful. Great pic all around. Yup pls remind me of warmer days as I plow snow, working over 13 straight hrs now and counting. Gotta pay for the goodies right.

Thanks! I remember seeing your truck in a google search I did for Tundras with diamondback covers. Yours is one of several that convinced me to order one. I'm definitely considering adding one of their bins afterwards. Don't know yet if I should get the 8" or 13" though.

 

I didn’t know she was famous! I also stole from @mgm16trdpro the idea to put the wireless Access led lights under the cover on both hinge panels. Sick set up. @mgm16trdpro has better pics than I (this is before I had the bin in)

 

Made it myself & made another one for the in-law. Might think about making some more since I got some buddies asking about it.

 

It can be used just as a simple storage for your current ball mount so it doesn't bust someone's shin or keep it out of sight. It can be used to store a secondary ball mount. I use it store my main mount because I use all sorts of accessories on the hitch. I had the ball mount on the bed but of course, it slides all over the place and it dented the crap out of my bed.

 

Nice truck Borgs. Can you tell me where the cross box hangs from? Does it rest on the bed rail system or does it actually rest on top of the bed?

***I got this out of their outlet section with scratches.*** To echo earlier comments, their customer service is top notch.

The 3rd party delivery company threw it out of the truck upside down, thankfully I my security system got a video of the delivery, and not delivered on a pallet as contracted. I didn't look at the video until I was trying to understand why/how he delivered the package upside down! Diamondback answered my calls and responded to my emails immediately. They also had a replacement cover shipped quickly with an easy return process.

 

My google-fu on the site is failing me. Do you mind sharing the original post for these lights? I like that these hang from the cover and will illuminate even a full bed.

Replaced my fogs with Baja Designs Squadrons and installed a 30" KC Hilites light bar behind the grill.

 

Yesterday evening I looked at the forecast, it said NO RAIN, NO heavy fog or mist.. so I washed the Tundra.. woke up to find the roads and the truck all wet.. SMH

So I decided what the hell, and this morning I decided to test Google Pixel's new updated "Night Shot" in a Walmart parking lot while I was there getting some shopping done before work.

I have the set with the switch and timer under the panel near the cab, and a set with the motion sensor under the panel near the tailgate.

 

I meant to ask how well does the motion sensor work. Find it on when u don't want? Or can't get on when want on? Just curious how the motion sensor works in that area over the manual?
