After getting my new 2018 CM last month, I started to share the same frustrations as others over the sh*tty cup holders that don't "hold" much of anything. I saw some really cool solutions, including a 3D printed piece that fit a bunch of different cans/containers, but nothing that really blended in to the design of the truck and was able to be left in place permanently.

I finally found some 1/16th inch thick rubber packing at Home Depot that looked like it might work for what I wanted. Here's a link to the HD product, and an alternate on Amazon:

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Partsma...-Rubber-Packing-Sheet-2-Pack-58353B/206853053

    https://www.amazon.com/6x6-Inch-Neo...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=Y45MW5WADWKSJG4NDA71

Pull off the center console out and pop out the chrome trim around the cup holders
    IMG_20181115_105320 (Large).jpg

Trace one end of the trim piece onto the rubber, ending at the last line on the trim (used the red piece for the write up, but the black piece for the actual mod)
    IMG_20181115_105421 (Large).jpg
    IMG_20181115_105525 (Large).jpg

Measure out a center point for the interior arc and use a compass to draw another arc with a radius of 1.5 inches (can probably just be eyeballed if you want...)
    IMG_20181115_105644 (Large).jpg

Cut out the shape with a utility knife and check the fit, trim as necessary to be inside the outer edge of the trim piece, and cut around the side clip
    IMG_20181115_105700 (Large).jpg

Flip, trace and cut the second piece
    IMG_20181115_105711 (Large).jpg

Sandwich between trim and console, pressing the black tabs from the console into the trim clips
    IMG_20181115_105744 (Large).jpg
    MVIMG_20181115_105835 (Large).jpg

Reinstall console and enjoy a nice, stable, grande non-fat pumpkin spice latte

Nice! I have a coworker that printed one for me. He'd be willing to sell if someone wanted one, don't know what he would ask for it. Unlike the thread linked, I just wanted limited options. 12oz cans, my glove box cup and my Yeti knock off fit. The first two pics are the prototype.

    Flux capacitor!
If you do a search for “large cup holder adapters” you will see there are several options online for this. Even ones that hold a 32oz Gatorade bottle. 25E8DFBE-C68F-44C0-A193-F7D515D15198.jpg

This one works great for the Gatorade dilema....

BottlePro - Cup Holder Adapter... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M028L5E?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

It comes with several rings for size adjust into the existing cup holder, and a foam sleeve (can coozie) to pad it in the holder.

When not in use I put mine in the useless front cup holder slot.20190625_120511.jpg 20190625_120542.jpg
