Fuel filler neck seal question.

    There is a visible gap around the fuel filler neck area. Please see the attached picture. Is this common on the 2018 year?

    all stock
    2019 has it as well. I just put some gas in it ,the neck moves when the nozzle is in. Feels kind of cheap.

    Is there supposed to be a flap inside the neck where you stick the fuel pump nozzle
    Never seen one that is wide open

    Did you ever find out if this is normal? I just noticed i have almost the exact same gap as you in my 2020 platinum and thought something was wrong so I came on here to look for answers. But this is the only thread that I can find that says anything about this.

    Perfectly normal. Tank fill can have freedom to move when truck bed is loaded

    Looks similar to mine. I have a 38 gal tank also.
