Hello, I bought my 1st Tundra and I love it, except ONE thing... the stereo sound is not that loud... at least for my liking and it being a $45K+ truck I was honestly expecting more... Are all stock systems (JBL) like this ? Am I missing something or its maybe a fuse issue? I have an 2014 Durango that easily tops the loudness of my Tundra.... feedback please.

    Thanks!

Probably the biggest gripe with the Tundra. Really Lame Stereo. Check out the Audio section for upgrades that have been done. Sadly you will need $1-2k to get it where you want it.

My biggest complaint as well. Scrap it and start over.

If it makes you feel any better, pretty much every pre installed premium audio package is pretty 'meh' regardless of the car/truck manufacturer.

I was reading a review the other day that was comparing the audio packages (Mark Audio, Focal, Polk, ect..) in some really nice higher end vehicles and they even got some pretty poor reviews.

I have a new 2018 Tundra Crewmax Limited and don’t have an issue with the sound... although I am not expecting audiophile grade sound or something like Sonos. I have the JBL with subwoofer and it is plenty loud... which is why the old adage for JBL is Junk But Loud. LOL. What source are you using for your sound? If connected to your phone make sure your volume on the phone is all the way up and then use the Truck stereo volume. Also play with the EQ Settings and make sure you balance it while a nice and Rock tune is flowing.
