Dan if your Waterport is the same side that your tent folds over you'll have to mount it as low as possible otherwise they will hit.

I would watch that Waterport Mount. I mounted it in a similar manner to my bed-rails (using only top two holes) and after my first serious offroad trip, the mount bent!!

I'm really concerned about it and might end up leaving it home. Dan said that mounting to the rack is a lot more sturdy than the rail, but hanging off of the bottom like I have it might be just as bad.

The holes don't line up and it would be too high. If I have time and motivation tomorrow I might swap sides with my Maxtraks and drill new holes.

Any way you can get a piece of thick metal that you could put behind the mount? Then drill it for all four mounting holes? That might work...
I ended up cutting a 4x4 so that the bottom of the mount conforms to the shape of the truck bed below the bed-rails. It could theoretically bend UP still, but it can't bend down any more.

@GodlessPro Matt, I have the same issue. The way my Waterport is installed on the bed rack, it will interfere when deploying the RTT. I’m just gonna remove the tank from the mount when RTT is up.

I think I'm just going to leave it off for this trip. Maybe I'll be able to make it work later on.

I'd swap sides or maybe could you change the tent to open up on the other side? Or don't fill the tank till you need to use it.

Yeah I can swap sides with my maxtracks. How many bolts did you use on your Waterport bracket?

Getting all 4 corners bolted down would make it nice and secure, but it didn't look like the holes would line up. Once I realized that it would be too tall, I didn't spend a ton of time on it, if I swap sides I'll try to line it up.

Not 4 corners but it’s solid. Think the key is having the whole plate mounted flat. We will see though
