Tell me why this doesn't work?

So I have 2 led pods hook up as additional reverse lights. They work as intended but when I try to add in a switch from the cabin it doesn't. All of the power to the switch in the cabin is powered by the switch next to it. Essentially, all I need to do is trigger the relay and that in turn will switch the power to the leds, so current draw shouldn't be an issue? This has me scratching my head. See the diagram below. What am I doing wrong here?

Are you diodes facing the right direction??

It should be. I solder both diodes at the same time. They are side-by-side under the relay. Plus, with a dmm read out it's .4vdc. If the leads are reverse it's "OL". So the diode orientation is correct.

Do the lights come on with the reverse lights and the switch just doesn't work?? Or do they not come on at all?

Yes, when put into reverse it works. It's just when using the switch. FYI, the switch works just fine.

Your going to have to try bypassing the switch and then bypassing the diode in the load side of the switch.
