    Hi Gang,

I have a 2008 long box, 4wd, double cab, 5.7 and am looking for recommendations for tires.

At present, I have have Bridgestones on the front (which are soon due to be replaced) and Michelins on the back (which are somewhat new).

Given that the front tires are due to be replaced in the next few months, I started a search for new Michelins. Long story short, Michelin does not appear to have a good option for me...and I do not like Bridgestones, per say.

Anywho, I'm reaching out to all of you for recommendations for new tires.

255 70 18 is what I have on there now. Stock rims.

The hitch weight of my trailer is about 750lbs. GVWR is 8500lbs on the trailer, but I do not fully load it....no where near it. I have a Husky WD hitch, Ride Rite airbags, and the TRD sway bar on the Tundra.

I take the trailer out a couple of times per month. Other than that, my Tundra is a daily driver.

What are your thoughts on tires, given my situation?

    Thanks!

Why do the Michelins not appear to have a good option for you? Size? Load?

They didn't say, specifically. They referred me to BFGoodrich.

I buy Michelins from Costco. They are perfectly round, require small balance weighs, have a great warranty (not that I've ever used one in 30 years), are quiet and provide excellent traction. I do a little off roading and they are fine for that, too. Not knobby tires by any measure, but are great.

Just recently replaced my crap bridgestones that came on my truck. I went with the 275/60/20 Michelin Defender LTX MS and its by far the smoothest riding, quietest tire I've ever had on a truck. I've got two buddies and my Dad all got 70k+ miles on each of their sets with mileage to spare. It is offered in an E Rated 10 ply if you tow heavy loads which would be my recommendation.

Give Michelin a shot, it won't disappoint!
