Put some 30 dollar LED bulbs from Amazon for the low beams and fog lights. Probably will put in high beams too sometime.. had them readjusted by a local body shop for free. They are super bright compared to the silverstar incandecent bulbs. Hopefully they last a decent amount of time.

Also.... I feel very contradictory because I said I didn't really care about my gas pedal but I installed the new 04000-0440C gas pedal anyway lol. It is very simple to do. My short review on it is that it definitely is better than the original. It doesn't jerk the truck forward when accelerating from a stop anymore which is the kinda "break neck" part of the old one. I will say the 04000-0440C part is still SENSITIVE but it doesn't break your neck. What I've noticed is the truck wants to spin the tires more instead and that's why I say it's still sensitive. Overall cheap part really easy and I'd say worth it because all the mods I've been doing to my tundra is to increase stability since I've owned it(now a year and a half). Definitely will be doing the rear TRD sway bar in the future.

Another mod I did was I removed the rear seat center headrest and that helped tremendously when backing up and seeing the car driving behind you in your rearview mirror

Few days ago, raced a 2005-2006 Pontiac GTO(aka Holden Monaro) at a stop light 5 lane road(aka 2 lanes with a center turn lane) We lined up both first in line. I needed to get in front of him, the road narrowed down to 3 lanes at the next light about a half mile down the road.

Of course I'm in the big slow truck, Tundra, 4.6 V8, 4wd, not even the good engine in our trucks. I'm watching the lights, notice it turns red in the opposite direction, brake torquing the truck with traction control off, get a perfect launch off the line, squeal the rear tires a slight bit, jump out about a whole 5-15 feet ahead, maybe a car length, not enough to cut him off.

Of course Mr Muscle over there in his Holden is like fuck that shit and floors it, shoots right past me after a couple seconds. He didn't know I wanted to race at first, I was hoping to take him by surprise, and did for a few hundred feet till he flew past me.

Hi what halo lights you used? Mine was plasma and during winter the bulbs just die down one by one.

Hi, anyone on here with a 4.6 running 35s on 17 rims without a re-gear? I have the 2013 4.6 tow package so I have the 4.10 gears? Anyone?

@dirtydeeds I hear you have this setup. I saw you comment on other threads. I buying 17x8.5 on true 35s 12.5 on 3 inch lift. 4.10 apparently since I have the tow package. Other than it being slow off the line which i dont mind. Anything you seem to be wearing on more than usual?

Super easy install, took 2-3 min, my truck is not jerky anymore, this is money well spent, I ordered the part number posted from cool springs Toyota.

Is there a particular year model that this issue happens? I have a 2012 so far I have not experienced this. Now I'll pay more attention to it when I drive it to work today.

Seems to be the earlier 2nd Gens; 07,08, maybe 09. Another thread compared a 2011 to earlier model, acceleration feeling totally different.

If your acceleration is smooth and controlled it is not an issue. Our 07 is very challenging to keep the from jerking heads back and forth on take off.

There was a dead spot in my gas pedal too after the initial acceleration that I would have to overcome. This new one is awesome.. I don't feel embarrassed when people are riding with me now.

After driving with the updated pedal for a whole day and doing my errands, i like it better overall than the old touchy one, only time I miss the old pedal is on the highway when going to over take someone, new pedal needs a little more input, I just have to learn to give it more.

618sGDnZ1aL._SL1500_.jpg The type of shoe worn while driving will make the throttle feel different when pressure is being applied, and the pedal itself is tiny when compared to older gas pedals - not well suited to driving barefoot.

Installed some $35 fog lights since my truck didn't come with them, I wanted a clean switch and easy wiring so I utilized the stock fog light wiring, an OEM relay, and an OEM headlight switch with fog switch. Hardest part was pulling the steering wheel but that really even wasn't that challenging. Did the anytime fog light mod V1 while I was at it. Everything works great! Only downside is I thought there would be a fog light on indicator in the dash, but apparently 2nd gen tundras don't have that? Even the factory fog light equipped trucks? Oh well.

Sorry, BMX rider, this was supposed to be a reply to the post about the Tundra guy who beat the Pontiac off the line, only to lose the contest when the competitor figured out it was a race! Have no idea how it got misplaced.... o_O

Did my second oil change today @ 83k.

Man, I REALLY need to get one of those skid plates with the oil filter door (yeah, I know I should have jumped on the recent group buy).
