    stupid question about the bumper tab bolts. Mine seem to stick out past the lock nut a lot more than pictures I have seen. What did I do wrong?

    i did carriage bolt through skid to nut, then washer, bumper tab, washer, nut. that way the carriage bolt stays solid if you have to take it all down

    There are instructions, but they don't really explain that part well. Before you get the skid up to the truck, install those 3 bolts through the skid facing down and throw a locking nut on there. I used a floor jack the lift the skid up into place. Then washer, bumper tab, washer, nut like was already posted. I put those on loose first, then did the 5 other bolts loosely, then the back two long bolts. Then aligned and tightened everything up.

    Only thing I wasn't sure about was the large half circle washers.... It didn't seem like they aligned with anything on top of the cross member, so I just put them and didn't worry about them turning when tightening down the nut.

    Trans/transfer skid was the most challenging to install, but only because I didn’t have any gear wrenches for the carriage bolts.

    Fit and finish are superb.
