Just the ones above before I installed them. I'll get a pic here in a little bit with them on the truck though.

They are pricey, but functional. I do a lot of dark country road driving.

Looks very nice. Looks like it came with the truck.
I don't mind the chrome BTW. Would you want to color match it or what?

Yeah or plate bumpers matte black. I don't mind chrome either, but I don't like it at all when it contrasts so bad. It just looks like too much chrome against the black paint. To me anyway

Not to hard, but I do everything fairly slow to make sure I don't mess things up. The hardest part was making the brackets I used to secure it all. They aren't needed, but I made them so the lights wouldn't be that easy to steal and so there would be no vibrations. I didn't think they would, because of the mounting brackets, but after 3 years of not using my stock fog lights because they vibrated while driving, I wanted to make sure. The lights are 5k

Well, I was almost starting to think I messed up with what kind of truck box I was going for, but this morning i finally had the time to bolt it all down. I'm very happy with it. Still have room for the dogs and small stuff to the sides and it's about as secure as you are going to get. I'm still able to use my rail system and if need be, a cover on the bed.

Don't forget to swap out that alauminum perforated shaft inside. I, too, swapped to the aluminum casing and it was seriously one of the best mods to do to the truck, especially since I do my oil changes every 5,000 miles.

I replaced the plastic oil filter cap with the aluminum one, today. Good thing too... The plastic one cracked and pieces of it came off. I keep debating on the fumoto. Sure would hate to get it snagged on anything. Do you have any pictures of yours installed? I've seen the ones with the longer nipple, but not the short one.

I was going to start a thread for this post, but figured there are far too many mpg threads out there already.

I've got a couple of tips/suggestions for anyone using their tundra as a daily driver and wanting to get the best mpg that a tundra might see.

So, in the last couple of months my avg mpg has gone from 12.8 to 14.5. not bad for the tundra and especially on 35s. My last calculation done manually put me at 17 mpg for a full tank! This last tank, I got 366 miles out of it. I've never gotten more than 290 or so. My normal driving is somewhere between a 40/60 to 30/70 split for city/hwy driving and although Texas is a relatively flat state, I do drive through a lot of hill country.

I've got two tips for anyone wanting to get the most out of a tank of gas.

    1. Drive the speed limit. Don't pass people unless you have to and let off the gas coming down hills. Pretty basic stuff right there.

    2. Try and figure out the pedal work to get your torque converter locked up as sooner than later. For anyone that doesn't know what that means, if you are cruising along at say 65 and you give the truck a little gas, you might think your truck down shifted into 5th. Unless you press the pedal pretty far, most likely all that happened was the torque converter unlocked to free up power in that gear you are in.

None of this is really very sexy information, but those two things have made a big difference for me.

I didn't reset the avg mpg, I just let it climb from 12.8. about thirty minutes after I took this, it hit 14.5
    IMG_20160723_164532366.jpg

One tank and I filled it back up with 21.5 gallons.

    Very good info @TruckyTruck.

Does yours have the info buttons to the right of your steering wheel? Or just blanks? If you just have blanks, all you need is the buttons. All the second gen and up trucks have the wiring already built in. It's just plug and play, then you will have access to the mpg next to the clock. Let me say this though... I'm 99% sure yours has the wiring and harness built in behind the blanks. If you plan on buying the buttons, take it apart and verify that it's there before hand. Or skip it and calculate it manually!

yes, just blanks. I have been calculating manually. I might put one of those bluetooth OBD II reader though. They give you the MPG too.
