My company is relocating at the end of the 2019, early 2020 to Mansfield Texas. I've been offered a position and would like to hear what people’s thoughts are on the area? Just myself and the girlfriend so don't have a tribe to take across the country. Not sure if I'm buying or renting yet, but recommended areas to check out or avoid would be appreciated. Thanks again.

I'm a little more than an hour north and west, but Mansfield is booming right now. Tract homes going up like you wouldn't believe! The metroplex is close enough to you to get the benefits of the big cities while still keeping that relatively small town feel. Before I moved out here I took a week off work, flew out, and just drove all around for days getting the feel for the area. For what it's worth, I love it out here.

Good luck with the potential move!

That is where I live! Nice area, growing a lot. I have been there for 13 years. We moved there because of the schools but sounds like that isn't a concern of yours. Location is good as you can be in Ft Worth or Dallas in 20-25 minutes on a weekend, but the northern suburbs (Frisco etc) are a haul but you can get away without going up there unless you want to go to an FC Dallas game.. Plenty of housing options from old to new, small to big, apartments, townhouses, new lofts in the downtown area. One thing about Dallas/Ft Worth in general is you want to try and minimize your commute distance due to traffic.

Feel free to PM me with any specific questions. I will also PM you my cell and you can txt too.

Move to Midlothian or Ovilla, not a bad drive to Mansfield
