Attention AZ folks! There is a cleanup occurring NEXT WEEKEND in the Four Peaks Area! I will be there, along with another guy from our KC team. It would super awesome if we had a great showing at this event. These cleanups are near and dear to my heart as they help preserve the area's beauty, but also ensure our future recreational access. Below are the details for this cleanup.

    More details, and a map!

It might be an awesome opportunity for a little camping trip on Friday night (or Saturday night) if anyone wanted to. I won't be able to, as I have to pick up and drop off my co-worker from the airport each night around 8pm. But, it would be cool to see you all arrange something.

    Giveaway:
There is going to be quite a big giveaway/raffle during this event. We are contributing a pretty major prize, and there are other groups that have contributed some goodies as well! Of course, we will be giving out stickers and koozies on a first come, first serve basis for those who come help out!

Well, I am not sure if any forum members ended up coming but there was one badass white Tundra there who I didn't get a chance to chat with.

Overall, this was an AMAZING event. There were well over 200 volunteers (last I heard was 238 at noon before the second session) that really busted ass yesterday. We nearly filled up 4 giant roll off dumpters. Tons and tons of people walked away with raffle prizes for their hard work, and I don't think I've seen so many smiles and had so many good conversations with folks at a trail cleanup before.
