    SSO slimline bumper and winch in transit so have to install that before these guys + had to change garage door first to accomodate the planned lift.

    Oh and the RCI skids on the way from the group buy.

    That's commitment, changing garage doors so you can lift it. Nice truck, it deserves a place to stay inside

    I like what you did with the exhaust. Did you just take them off and take them to a local shop ? How much did the cost ?

    Good luck with your build, really nice truck.

    @NjPro yup just undid the bolts and brought it to the shop. Cost about $200 to ceramic powdercoat both tailpipes.

    Thanks for the compliment. Slowly but surely brother!

    How long did it take to get you tail pipes back ? I have been doing research and I found a well reviewed shop 15 minutes away from me, going to call on Monday to get a quote.

    Dropped it off in the morning and picked it up at the end of the day. Really depends if the shop has other ceramic jobs lined up I think @NjPro. Good luck!

    Was able to install SSO slimline bumper and winch over the weekend.....

    Did my best to take pics, weigh part taken off, and parts added to get an almost exact total of total weight added as well.

    So first, you need to cut off the center piece of the bumper valance.

    04162C61-D63E-463B-8F90-735B73342416.jpg

    Next remove all necessary parts.

    9A73C9D1-66BB-4E49-9910-B2371D25AA72.jpg

    Unbolt aluminum crash bar from side extension and bumper valance. We do not use the aluminum bumper, so subtract (23lbs).

    938113BB-6634-40BD-B2DF-5F9E52EE006E.jpg

    F8BEDE3B-3DB7-4CA3-9904-14A748458403.jpg

    Since I chose not to have the bull bars with the new bumper, I was able to mount it on the truck empty. Meaning i could assemble the light, assemble the winch and it’s relocation bracket while the bumper is on the truck. Makes it a little easier.
    If you selected the bumper with the bull bars, you would have to zip tie the bumper valance on to the truck and assemble the winch to the bumper while it is off the truck.

    Bumper + Relocation Winch Bracket = 65lbs

    Winch + Relocation wires/hardware = 66lbs

    Baja Designs 30” S8 = 9lbs

    EC836FE4-C7B7-4FDB-BDE4-D36DA68DDF4F.jpg
    FD7C0BC9-8759-4FFE-85F2-434DBAD1E4B9.jpg
    D3DE728A-9615-40A1-AD30-D01A6ADC9A8F.jpg

    Next step I did was i spooled in the spydura rope to the winch.

    Spydura Rope + Hawse Fairlead= 10lbs

    2842E052-0710-408F-8259-3FAEF33A3593.jpg

    4C789050-56FF-4432-BD97-F7E353041C0F.jpg

    Power steering cooler was too close after spooling in the Spydura, so I had to bend the brackets a little bit closer to the radiator. Without bending it, distance to rope fully spooled in is about 3/8”. Like this....

    0090A21A-3CA8-4E59-ACDB-C9EB00F1C9C1.jpg

    So bend the bracket a little bit and you will get about 3/4 inch further from the spooled in rope.

    Next, put valance on the slimline bumper and line up. This is TEDIOUS and i actually had to grind 3 places from the thin aluminum cross member that holds the valance and the bumper end caps.

    9E012743-4FEB-4204-A6DB-2324F465FCD1.jpg

    These are the 3 locations that rub on the valance crossmember. So you have to geind/dremel of metal on the steel crossmember.

    77D77C3B-2381-4B79-9DC3-3F7F5D2F1C2F.jpg

    Once Chopped off, it is easier to line bumper.

    B35F5159-5BBD-4E8C-A167-2613BBD5E12F.jpg

    Then the home stretch, just reattach the grill and inner fender liner.

    B0D9274F-6D46-480D-BC6C-7975ED4D315A.jpg

    33BA63EB-30CC-40BA-AA89-50D391FF211A.jpg

    So added weight = 127lbs

    Winch = 76lbs
    Bumper = 65lbs - Old Bumper = 23lbs
    Light = 9lbs
    ______________ ________________

    150lbs - 23lbs

    = 127lbs

    * installed it myself and it can be done. Would be easier if you have help and have a few beers in between. ☺️

    Finished Sunday, next install would be the RCI skids! Then the suspension this coming weekend.

    Just have to figure out how to load it on the truck with very little effort. I figure i can use same pulley system we use for our kayaks. But the problem would be loading it on the truck. Since my garage door is about 84" and if i put the tent on the rack while inside the garage i wouldn't be able to get out w/o hitting the garage door.

    What rack do you have? Was thinking of going RCI or some other low profile one. Any suggestions?

    I have the BAMF low pro? @jlee has a nice 25% black friday deal going. Or just go with some bed bars from @RelentlessFabrication . Only thing is the low pro rack wont work with the kayaks.

    I have the track from rhino up in the roof ditches installed, so i can use our current yakima bars and kayak holders. If i get a low pro rack + the 15.5" tent height folded, i should be able to put the kayaks on as well. The tent is 15.5" folded right? inclusive of the ladder

    That sounds about right. The ladder adds a inch-ish. I can see the low pro rack with the tent working with the roof rack for the kayaks. Would you just strap them down? If you get the universal mounts on the low pro rack from BAMF you should be able to hook some ratchet straps all the way across. Not sure if that's safe though.

    @dcsleeper408 I think that would be safe since i ratchet strap both fronts and rears. Just looking at the BAMF site and looks awesome. The only thing with the RCI rack is that i can disassemble it if it is not being used. I think the BAMF low pro comes welded. Just have to find a way to store it.

    They are really nice racks. Storage does suck if you don't have the space. I am lucky to be able to store it in my warehouse at work or at my boss's personal shop. The RCI rack is nice. @GodlessPro just put together his setup. Very very clean setup!!
