Flatbed is done, need to build some underbed toolboxes to fill in the space, or potentially keep water/propane under there.

Canopy is under way, the frame is 16 gauge 2x1 steel and I'm going to lay up plywood and fiberglass for wall panels. The thin wall steel has a bit of flex, definitely will stiffen up when walls are in. I'll take what I can get, as of now the canopy only weighs about 60-75 pounds.

The total weight of the flatbed + canopy frame weighs less than the truck bed.

She's sittin real high in the back right now fellas... Couple hundred pounds and we'll be back level!

These are all the concept drawings, nothing final. I went with vertical walls on the canopy to maximize space.

Maybe these will inspire you to sell your truck bed and begin designing something you’re stoked on. It’s basicaly your “bored in class” drawings but more fun.

Print out a picture of your truck, trace the outline of the cab onto a new piece of paper and make a few copies.

Use a credit card or something for straight lines, it will come out cleaner.

I’ll throw a few pictures up once I Raptor line the flatbed, here’s one that shows the framework, gussets, and the U brackets to bolt down the flatbed.

If I were to build it again for a friend I would try a whole new design, I learned a lot from this first prototype.

Buddy of mine who sold me the truck originally had a badass 4WC setup. We remounted his camper on a Ram diesel.

Going to try out the custom fabricated camper for a bit and sell it when I’m ready to build something else.

Here’s the tundra before Ross sold it to me, and his new rig... 60522849-2926-40FB-9EDB-F11E9865B41A.jpg5DF6C8B8-6186-4D45-B7A0-0F949D36B63E.jpg
