    Hey all
Been wanting to do some mods to my 2018 Tundra Limited. Are there any headers that are street legal yet for this truck. I know the 17’s are so I don’t get why the 18’s are not. I have done the TRD Dual Exhaust and the TRD Intake but I am wanting more lol

I don't think anything on the engine side of the cats is legal in Cali. Keith will know, @dirtydeeds

Everything is illegal in Cali. :)

JBA HEADERS are the best option in Cali, but, @dirtydeeds mqy have other options as well.

    http://www.jbaheaders.com/feature_pages/07tundra.asp

It said on their website that they are legal in Cali.

This Product has been granted a California Air Resources Board (CARB) “E.O” (Executive Order) Exemption, or is considered a Direct Replacement or Consolidated Replacement part. It is 50 State Legal when installed on the appropriate vehicle per the Manufacturer Application guide and Installation Instructions.

    2017-18 NO CARB EO

I used to have a 2007 Tundra Crew Max and I had Doug Thorley Shorties on their. I would really like JBA Long Tubes this time but I can’t even buy them on any site lol. Not to mention everywhere I call won’t do it since they are not Carb certified in Cali. :(

So, have you contacted @dirtydeeds as yet? I am eager to see what you end up with.

I was waiting to see if he replied to the thread. Hopefully he does. I know that nobody will install it for me since it’s not Carb legal for the 2018. I would love the JBA Long Tubes but I worry about passing smog.

I went to JBA’s website and it explicitly stated that they have a “CARB EXEMPTION” from California’s DOT. Look at my earlier post #6, above. It has the link from JBA where I found the information. You should give them a call directly to confirm that they can sell their headers in Cali. If, they say yes, then, have them send you something in writing and suggestions for possible shops near you to do the install. JBA is a well established company, so, I don’t think that they would lie about something as important as that.

Let’s say that after all that, you went ahead and get it installed and you ended up failing smog. You point out to the DOT that JBA has an exemption, but, they aren’t buying it. Then, you would have just gotten your truck note paid off fully by JBA. :). Good luck bro!

Hahah thanks @trdprobped17. I am going to the website and I think I am reading it differently. Your statement applies to the 2007-2016 models. Anything after that is not legal for my truck yet. Not that it matters I still want to do it lol. Just need to find a reliable installer

@dirtydeeds has full instructions on how to install the JBA long tube headers, as well as, there are others on here that have shared their install instructions, if you want to give it a try yourself. :)

Would love to but I am not the best with something like that. Hopefully @dirtydeeds responds and has some recommendations on install shops in the IE area in Cali
