Install one of those sensors on the tree next to the truck and aim the beam in such way that it triggers in the vicinity of the tailgate but without canvasing the sidewalk or street. If the tree is too far up put a 4x4 in the ground and mount it to that. Hide it by planting a shrub or something in that corner. The sensor can be painted to match its surroundings. Its wireless and will alert you via the wireless base station. At that point you can call pd or arrange a meeting with the good lord for him. It will also help when the trucks arent there and somebody is still home to let them know something or somebody is approaching.

Ive ran 3 around around our home and they work great. Look them up on youtube etc.
