Ok. Test drove it. Never mind. The Trd exhaust kills the low end. Just as I suspected.

Steering wheel felt smaller too as did seats. My cloth ones feel wider.

I have 285 55 20 now. Wonder if stock PRO wheels just felt weird to me

Hey all. Are UCAs needed on the PRO after adding CB shims?

    Question for the ride quality?
I had the +3 shackles installed and 295/70/18 Toyo Open Country A/TII. I now feel more bed bounce in the right rear then usually did before. Has anyone experienced this? Could it be a tire lost its balanced adding to it? Would it be if the poly bushings weren't installed and they used the OEM bushings?

    Thoughts @Coachbuilder1? Anyone else?

What does the steering kit do exactly? Is it necessary?

Any rubbing on the front cab mount or did you get it chopped? Asking because I’m thinking about going 35s on stock wheels also.

The kit replaces the ball joints and tie rods from steering rack to the spindle. They articulate and function at the higher angle as a result of lifting the truck. As the LCA is pushed down further with the CB spacer(or any +3 lift), the angle at the rod becomes greater. This steering kit accommodates for this greater angle without binding.

    Hope this helps

What is the carrier bearing drop for? It came with CB +3. Install is next week so just curious.

The carrier bearing drop is a spacer kit that lowers the carrier bearing bracket down 1". The bearing is a mid-driveshaft support and stabilizer for our really long driveshaft. As you push the axle down with the shackles, the driveshaft angle increases. The drop reduces that angle.

Coachbuilder +3 shackles, carrier bearing drop kit, 1 (1/2”) shim each side up front and bumpstop extensions, very happy with it! Running 295/70r18 general grabber X3’s.

I beg to differ on the TRD dual exhaust killing low end torque, I have it on my 18 Platinum, and it will plant you in the seat and take off like a scaulded dog from dead stop to rolling at 10 mph, however from 45+ mashing the pedal to the floor is just a steady climb and not very rapidly. This has nothing to do with the exhaust just how the power and torque curve work on these motors. That part was the same before dual install as it was with my totally stock 2010.

Can you update me on the status of your rig with regard to the plastic trim you removed in the front wheel well? I’ve been debating this mod but wondered if it’ll throw too much dirt into the fog light area.

If you follow the trimming on this thread, then you will maintain the same coverage of the fog lights as the stock setup.

I installed shackles first and felt it had a good stance without the front shims but i have a pretty good static load in the back with a bedslide and full bed rack 100% of the time. I decided i wanted to install the shims as i will most likely do a new leaf spring pack next. I had a picture of it just like you are requesting but cannot seem to find it.

This is my truck installed with the Coachbuilder +3 shackles and stock up front with Toyo Open Country Extreme A/T II. I have the shims for the front but have not gotten around to installing them yet.
