I ordered my non button version 2 on 09/22 and once the the group by was complete they shipped it out 5 days later and I received it 3 days after shipping. I was amazed at how fast it was shipped but like @BayRunner explained the button style unit wasnt in full production yet.

Mine is on the slow boat and I won't be able to install the unit till October 20th. I might have been the last person on the group buy and hope it will arrive at the end of the month.

Ok, connected the Harman Spark with the Tesla HU for full time internet with automatic connection and unlimited data. Also someone over at the Facebook group providdd a link to a Netflix version that works with this head unit. Pretty cool sitting here waiting for the kids and watch my shows

Awesome. Adding spark to the must have list. Speed is similar to simply hotspotting?

Yes, speed is the same as hot spotting to a phone. The advantages are:

    • Plugs into the OBD port with no oher wiring.
    • Automatic connection upon engine start and HU boot up
    • Serves as a hotspot for the vehicle so you can have other devices connected to it at the same time.
    • The Spark mobile app has some neat vehicle centric functions that are fairly cool.

That is a sweet deal, they won't slow you down after 23 GB in a congested area?

I was told no, but I guess we'll find out. I discussed this with the rep and was told that since its true unlimited that some people were trying tot wire these up for their home.

Which front camera works well with this? Thinking of installing one in a plate cover where the TSS would be on a 2019 Pro grille. Just realized it would be great for parking assist.

I have a very old plain from Verizon that is a true unlimited plain. They have tried to get me to switch many times, 5g will be here soon if not already and between the boys, wife and I a 150+ GB a month is not uncommon. Finding a un-throttled true unlimited data plan today I believe is impossible.

If you're in L.A., you can just arrange it for pickup. I dont want to wait so after I contacted the store, went to pick it up and got mine in 30 minutes. Installed the radio when I got home and only took me 15 minutes to intall.

You're close to L.A. just call them and see if they have one in stock.

Will this Bluetooth music seamlessly like the stock HU if I don’t want to hotspot a connection all the time?

The Bluetooth works for music and calls. I wouldn’t call it seamless though. It’s pretty good. If you are doing the hotspot and Bluetooth music at the same time through your phone it will cause interference sometimes

I’d say there is a good probability if there was around 75 people interested. Don’t remember what number the last group had.

Personal preference. I myself like the buttons because it gives me quick access to volume, AC control, And Navigation without having to hunt for them on the touch screen

Successfully added Sirius XM to the unit. Connected the Onyx Plus XM radio to the 3.5 mm aux plug directly below the ISB plug.

Note to those wishing to use the stock 3.5 mm aux plug with the Tesla unit. Make sure you connect the red and white male aux (RCA type plugs) on the main harness to the additional red and white female aux (RCA type) plugs. This will enable the stock 3.5 mm plug to be the "aux" input source on the Tesla unit.
