Wondering if anyone here has tried these headlights? They look extremely similar to the Spyder's but with the LED U-bar being transparent instead of white, would prefer as they would be brighter...

I bought those some time back but ended up returning them.

They look really good but they don’t sit flush with the body like the stocks, there’s a significant amount of gap on the top between the hood and the housings.

Another thing is they have an extra connector for the u-bar leds that’s not the sr,sr5, and 15-17 TRD Pro models so they won’t light up. Think only the limited and the platinum have the led connector.

I looked at the other version they have which is just a white ubar like regular Spyders and those seem to not have the extra connector. Problem is they probably wouldn’t sit flush unless you drilled another set of holes on the top tabs of the housing to get them to roll in and sit flush.

    Just my 2cents.

Thanks for the response, I have the spyders with the white bar and I just don't like the light output during the day for the u bar...

In the end I decided to not get any aftermarkets even though the winjet and anzo headlights look good in my opinion.
I just decided to save up for the 19pro headlights and a harness and just set them to always bright.
I feel like there’ll just always be something not to like about the aftermarkets.

The light output is very good for aftermarket on the spyders, I upgraded bulb to H11 30W from Lasfit and I'm pleased. Nice and white and projects far. Especially for under 250. Just want the led tube to be brighter, I tapped ignition fuse so it acts as drl. Was the led tube on those other ones brought enough to notice during the day?

I had Spyders for a long time, but hated not having power leveling control of OEM headlights.

I took the leveling motor out from stock lights and added it, so I retained the functionality.

The clear ubar never lit up since my truck didn’t have the led connector that was on the ubar, think it’s only on the limited/platinum since those always came with the led drl. would need some kind of harness to hook them up and power on on the sr, sr5 and 15-17 pro

Oh man I remember those too. They look pretty badass but I think there was someone on here who mentioned that the light output kinda sucks on them. Couldn’t say more since I never owned them but hopefully whoever had them sees this post and can chime in on how good or bad they are.

Yeah I found the thread about them...they were disappointing so I see on the output.

    Flux capacitor!
I had ordered those headlights the day they came out. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to order the Alpha Owls headlights. Lots of people reported having debri inside the headlights, having bad light output and other issues. I sold mine before I even installed them.

Thanks for the input, it's a damn shame that no one can make a plug n play headlight that has what we all want lol...

Agree, stay away from alpha owls. Waste of money.

Really glad I didn't splurge on these when they were first available to buy, the looks almost had me but decided to hold on to my wallet.
