Glove box rattle solution

Anybody end up removing and tossing the rattle prone glovebox devider shelf?
Or have you figured out how to shut it up.
It does make it easier to keep the owners manuals stashed in there.

 

I wedge the owners manual and maps on the top shelf which keeps it pretty quiet. I would imagine if you put some felt in the guides and then slid the shelf in it would be much more quiet.

 

You may have just solved my “Is that speaker messing up or is something loose?” dilemma that I’ve been having off and on.

 

I swear to goodness the rattles in the glove box and door panels are enough to make me want to trade this damn truck in. That is my biggest and only complaint.

 

Buy a pack of Velcro cable ties and wrap them around the manuals to act as a buffer.

 

I took it apart cause it felt lose.
One of the spring clips on the right side had broke off the tray.
I stuck two self stick felt strips on. One in place of the busted clip and one under the trays left side where it has one large press in clip.
Will now drive over some bumps to see what happenZ.

 

I just took mine out and left it out. I didn’t like how the owners manual wouldn’t sit straight on the top shelf.
