Excuse my notknowingness....but what the heck do you use these for?

 

I think they are used to draw in bats for high speed photography.

 

Civilian use is primarily running in the dunes at night to help prevent collisions.
Sometimes required for night work on airports or mines.

 

There are several applications, with the most popular option being off-roading. Guys will use them in the dunes, wheeling in the mud and on construction sites. It’s super bright and extremely durable

 

Also, the Jedis used it to defeat the dark side
