Put parking brake on before turning truck on.

    Four step process:
    1. Turn your headlights off
    2. Set your parking/emergency break
    3. Turn off the vehicle
    4. Start the vehicle

It should then start with the parking/daylight running lights off but if you release the parking/emergency break they will come back on.

Of course it could also just be a 1 step process.... set the parking break before stating the vehicle or turning on the lights.

What if you press the parking brake slightly? Just enough to turn the ambers off but not actually stop the vehicle? I remember this trick use to work with gm trucks back in the day

Guys I figured it out! You turn your truck on turn push the emergency brake, turn the truck off, wait 1 second and then crank the truck again. And voila your driving lights will now be off!! Learned that at the drive in movies while my husband was frantically searching his truck manual. Thought I’d share with fellow truck people, who would like to watch a movie with their driving lights off.
