I'll be "coming back home". After trading my 2000 Tundra about 2 years ago I'll be taking ownership of a 2005 in the next week or two. I had my 2000 for 16 years and I had a Flowmaster 40 series muffler installed with 3" chrome tips. At the time there weren't any systems available for 2000's so they used a catback for the Chevrolet Silverado's.

The Flows sound great but at the time that's all there was, so once I put them on they were there for 16 years!

Anyway what's out there that may sound better?

I used a Magnaflow 17 on my 2006 and loved it.

Just had a Dynomax Ultraflow Weld installed, kept the resonator. I love the way it sounds so far, but I know it’ll get louder as it breaks in. It’s nice and deep...real deep. Not loud and obnoxious, but I know some guys like that sound too. I also added some Dynomax 4” chrome tips...sweet!

    I’m pleased so far!

That sounds nice!! I almost went with Flowmaster because I had the 40 series on the 2000 Tundra I use to own for 16 years. I just thought I’d try something different this time around.

I’ve had the Dynomax Ultraflow Weld for 2 days with today being the first day I drove it all day, well excluding the time I was at work...of course. Although there’s a break in time, how long I don’t know, it’s really only marginally louder than stock. It does have a more deeper note though. I may remove the resonator, I’ll give it a couple months. I know everyone loves @dirtydeeds, but I didn’t want to put too much into an exhaust for a 13 year old truck! This truck is my “go to work truck”, my “yard work truck”, my “go to Home Depot or Lowe’s truck” so gotta keep things in perspective!

Well I’ve had my Dynomax Ultraflow Welds on for almost 3 months. The only thing I can say is that they are deeper sounding than the factory muffler and maybe a few decibels louder at idle and on the highway. They are noticeably louder at cold start up.

Sounds nice, but I wish they had more rumble. Should have gone with Flowmaster I guess or (money no object) Dirty Deeds. I’m considering removing the resonator. Any comments on that pro or con would greatly be appreciated!
