Thanks for the info. I may look into it to learn and teach my kids before they get too old...

Forgot to post my install...... I should really just do a build thread hahahha

Radio is actually mounted under the shift console. I ran all the wires with filters down through the center of the dash. Pretty easy panel to replace

    Hello,

I hope we can blow some dust of this 2016 Thread and provide some input for Gen 3 owners. If this needs to be elsewhere or a new string, please let me know. I've just joined and have had the truck only two weeks so I have a lot to plan with this installation.

Installing an Icom 7000 in a 2024 CrewMax Limited. I intend to only operate 70cm and 2m when mobile and keep the HF for parked Buddipole uses. I am currently looking at mounting the antenna on the cab, drill-through NMO, coax down the B pillar. Please if anyone has photos with the headliner down on a Gen 3 that would help A LOT. The main rig under the driver seat (I still need to measure). I plan the control head, mic and speaker to the left top of the 14" infotainment screen on a RubiGrid dash mount with a phone or tablet holder for the control head (I still need to measure).

    Thoughts and advice are appreciated.
