How can I get the DRL’s to turn off when headlights are on , got pulled over today and was told they were not legal, (to bright and to high). And yes they dim correctly when headlights come on, it’s probably related to the fact my truck is lifted so they seem brighter wheel you look up into them.

@Xray09 Did you figure out a solution to this? I want to do the same thing because I know I will get pulled over as well for running Aux lights not attached to the high beam. I think as a quick solution it has to be as easy as pulling one of the 11 pins to the light bar. The more viable option I would like to do is have the dimmed drls come on when the truck is in the auto setting and you turn on the high beams. This is simply wishful thinking.

Pin#9. Yes, I hate having to do this but I don’t want a ticket, even though all the other cops I talk with say it’s fine, but the one that pulled me over said different. I wished the switch in the truck had 3 settings, low, high, off. Pulling the pin was a little challenging, be sure to remove the orange piece inside the harness, then you will need a small screw driver or nail to reach in and depin it. I just taped it once removed Incase I ever want to repin it later.

You are a life saver! Thank you so much and for the tips on removal.

I agree I wish there was a setting for those three. Does your drls still work when the headlights are not on?

    Lost track after #1.
I just push the button to turn mine off at night, but you may want to look at putting tint on them so they're not so bright. I've done that and it helped.

When you turn switch on, the DRLs will be in bright mode. The good is that you can turn them on anytime you turn switch on, whether headlights are on, off, or bright. The bad is, you will lose the dim mode all together.

The bar sounds better when you take pin 9 out. I’d be happy to be able to turn the drls on with the push of a button! Thanks for the info

Contact the vendor you bought it from. I can't speak for anyone else, but my POC was Jensen at TORC auto. 1000% satisfied. Sent me a replacement via FedEx and a prepaid label to send the defective one back. GL
