I did that earlier and it wasn't reading anything that I saw. What would this indicate if it did/didn't?
Yes at the end of April

yep bank account is running low from it..
No signal or break in wiring to ecm. If it was getting signal you should see a rpm.

If ecm doesn't see the crankshaft turning, it will not fire engine.

I'm going on a far stretch with this could be a jump in timing too. If the crank and cam doesn't match it will be a no start too.

You have a break in the wiring some where. Doesn't rule out a defective part (sensor)either now. most of the time it's at connection points.

Do you know how to get the engine to tdc ( top dead center). If so put it at tdc and pop off the timing covers( top ones) and see if the marks are lining up..

I'm throwing in the towel guys. I appreciate all the help and suggestions and advice, but this issue is beyond my mechanical knowledge and realm. I'm going to have it taken to a shop on Monday and let them deal with it and cut my losses.

Got the truck back today. When the shop did the timing belt and water pump, they didn't noticed the wire running to the crank sensor had gotten wedged between some metal and they bolted it back together pinching the wire. They called today and said it was their fault what happened and I went to pick it up and they didn't charge me for towing or anything. Even though this was a fault on the shop they corrected the fault and admitted to the wrong and did me right and got me back on the road. To me that shows true character and a good shop. Glad to say I'm back up and running!

I again appreciate all the help from members on here trying to help me self diagnose the problem in the first place. Couldn't have asked for better help!
