I'll have pics soon. I was getting a driveline vibration I didn't notice before so i pulled the wheel spacers. I'll be checking air pressure next.

I removed the 1/4" spacers and ordered a set of BORA 1.25" spacers instead. If anyone wants the 1/4" spacers they are free to a good home. Just pay for the ride.

Well... It is time for a real update. I finally got everything gathered and had a buddy install the CB Shims, LRO block, SUMO Springs and Bora wheel spacers. I will have before/after measurements and pictures this evening. the truck drives smooth. i did notice a little more stiffness to it, but thats because of the sumo springs. I'll probably pull them off and store them in the glove box until I need to tow or haul something. The spacers are causing the wheels to rub in the front in reverse.. Guess it is time to dig up that fender liner trimming thread.

A little before and after action. Went with basically a 2.5/1. I’ll post up before and after measurements.

    Another update.....

Installed my new Auxbeam LED fog lights and trimmed the front inner guard to stop the wheels from rubbing. All is right with the world. Well almost... I need an alignment.

Just did my first DIY oil change on the Tundra. Super easy, slightly messy, but a good time. I just need to get the fumoto valve for the next time around.

Na, not this time. The plastic version is pretty sturdy. I’ll eventually get the metal, but factory is fine for now.

    Small Update...

Stock battery finally gave up the ghost. Guess ~5 years was enough. Went with Exide SX27F-EX. Let’s see how this one holds up.

Side Note. I’m in the market for new tires. Fighting the urge for 35’s or 285/75. What are your thoughts on Yokohama AT or the hybrid X-AT?

    Finally time for some updates.
I’m officially a member of the Dirty5 club. Bit the bullet and picked up a set of 35x12.5r18 Yokohama Geolander G015’s. Initial impression is they ride smooth, quiet and look good but not very aggressive. I also finally ditched the power stop Z36 kit (I’ll personally never recommend them) for some raybestos element3 rotors and pads.

Truck now has 90150 miles on it. I’ll have photos and measurements tomorrow.

Nothing special. Just 35’s on a Pro. Very surprised that I have no rubbing. Cab mount was never chopped, mud flaps removed as soon as truck was purchased and front wheel well plastic was previously massaged for the 295’s.

manu spec: 34.4x12.4 in 18x10 rim
real spec: 33.5x11.5 on 18x8 rim

currently running 44 psi all around.

    Small Update…

I was getting 11.4 mpg on the dumb dumb gauge in the truck with the STT Pro’s.

I’m now seeing 12.4 with the Yoko G015’s

and before anyone asks.. no, I have not done the real calculation with different size tires. Strictly looking at the gauge and what the truck tells me.

Curious about your experience with the Powerstops. I ran them on my old F150 for 60k+ and never had an issue, just swapped out pads. I've had them on my tundra for less an 15k and I feel like they're falling apart. Maybe I just got lucky and got a good set before? I think i'll follow your lead and switch to something else when these do give out. Nice looking truck, btw!

Thank you. I had the “soft pedal”, rear rotors grinding and slow braking issues people have mentioned. The rotors rubbed the heat shield from day 1. I tried massaging the heat shields and it helped, but didn’t fix the issue. There was no brake pedal feel until it was bottomed out and even then the truck didn’t stop well. I had the brakes bled twice and calipers checked multiple times. Was told it’s just the nature of the beast. I lived with this for entirely too long. Last straw was when I almost rearended my sister in law and niece with my wife and kids in the truck with me. It was a normal traffic driving scenario (40 mph, frequent braking, truck length between us) someone cut her off and stopped, I smashed the brakes, truck came to a slow stop wedged between a concrete wall and her driver door. I don’t know how I pulled it off, but the truck never touched the wall or her truck. Everyone was fine. Little shook, but fine. Went home and started ordering parts.

Glad you made it out unscathed and no accident! Scary. My brakes are definitely a little soft but I don’t think that bad. No rubbing issues luckily. I’ll keep this in mind. Post up how your new brakes are working out, I’ll be following along.

Just ordered a set of Goodridge SS brake lines from Tirerack. Hopefully this will give me a slightly firmer pedal feel.
