    Duneflyer's 2017 Crewmax 1794 build

My build has been an ongoing build from my Purchase day. . . like I added a lift, wheels and tires, before I even took it home. I just joined the forum this month, but finally found some time to share my build with you all, upto where I am today, pics included, cuz we all know . . .:worthless:

I bought my truck new. I came from a 2012 GMC Duramax Denali, and loved the truck.. but the electrical gremlins that GMC is plagued with started to rear their ugly heads so I made the choice to dump the diesel and go gas.. Tundra gas.

But as mentioned... I didnt even get her home without a boob job and a new pair of shoes. I had the dealership install a 6" procomp lift with motometal 18" wheels and 35x12.5 Toyo Open Country RTs

After throwing that big chunk of change down, I waited a couple months and decided I need more. (don't we all) Growing up in the desert, around the desert racing scene, suspension always comes first. So I threw my money into Fox 2.5 coilovers with rezzies and DSCs for the front and Fox 2.0s with a 6" lift devers in the rear.

Since I has gonna have the truck up in the air I went ahead and installed the Nitro 4.88 gear kit and added a full time locker as well.

So after that was done, and my credit card thoroughly used and abused, I had to make a stop at the Audio store. The JBL audio package in the Tundra is not too shabby, but i like to "feel" my music. I added the JL Audio Custom-fit fiberglass enclosure with two 10TW3-D8 subwoofers

and also added the JL Audio XD1000/5v2 5 channel amp to power the subs but also add some boost to the JBL mids and highs already in the truck. Eventually I will wanna start replacing those as well.

I added a keyless entry and remote start as well. This alarm has a 2 way remote that alerts me if the alarm is going off as well. Its made by python.

Next came a Bakflip tonneau cover. I love this thing.

I spend a lot of time in the desert and sand so I added the ARB twinair compressor and mounted a tank as well with side airchuck. You never know when you might need some air. Plus, it gives me an excuse to add ARB lockers at a later date.

I finally stopped the upgrades for a while, up until recently when I joined this forum. You guys fed my itch again, and I have started again. I just had the Magnusson Super charger kit installed 2 weeks ago. This is one bad ass upgrade. I would tell everyone I know to do this to your truck. Since I had the flex fuel motor, I was already getting horrible gas mileage, so with the SC, I am finally using those big injectors like they should be used.

I hard mounted the bullydog programmer that magnusson sends with the SC kit as well.
I also added the dirty deeds exhaust to the truck as soon as I got the SC installed. This is the 8" system. It has a nice growl but not over bearing.
This weekend I spent some time adding a new USB chargers to the dash. I hate that the Tundra doesnt have an always on receptacle for charging so I added my own.

and also upgraded my headlights and fog lights. I changed them both out to HIDs

I have a few things on order that I will be adding in the next couple weeks. My wife's Mercedes has the backlighted emblem on the grille, so I had to get one of those..

I have the KD Voodoo bed rails in boxes in my office I hope to install this month as well. I just ordered the Genesis dual battery kit with 2 new odyssey batteries as well.

Also on order from our autoanything guy is the swing out tool boxes
    [IMG]

I also have the mounting brackets for the caliraisedled.com mounting brackets to put 2 42"LED lightbars behind the grill. [IMG]

So the build continues.. Thanks for looking and .. any comments or suggestions??

I am going to follow this thread because it appears you have already installed my wish list. :) lol... i have 2017 Tundra 1794 Crew... only thing i have done is leveling kit, tires/wheels, step rails, tri-fold bed cover, bed liner, one of the swingout tool boxes. Gonna use your post to research other goodies... I want onboard air, looking into fabbing up a 110 outlet (converter) in dash or the massive glove box, replace the fog lights with functional amber fog lights, add one led bar up front not sure where yet, and my current gripe is the lack of functional EQ control from the JBL premium audio system. I think i would be happy if there were 4 controls High/Mid/Bass/SUB in lieu of only High/Mid/Bass. anywho... Looks like you are doing things right and not rigging it. With Mag SC what kind of mpg are you seeing? Of course we didn't buy Tundra's because of MPG but i am just curious.

I added a digital signal processor to be able to adjust my frequencies. It has 6 adjustments and works great. It was about 300 bucks.

For the SC.. I have added about 3mpg in city and 5+ on hwy .BUT.. I have to use premium fuel now.. so I would bet it's a zero net gain .

Onboard air .. the dual ARB is the one to get. Super fast. Don't let them talk you out of an air tank. It works best with one .that would be a great idea for a 110 outlet .hadn't thought about putting it in the glove box. Good idea .

I put HD bulbs in my fog lights.. bright as hell now

On my 15 tundra I had one light bar in the bumper.. I liked it but it was a lil low.. this is why I went with the 2 behind the grill this time .it works great there .

@Duneflyer what digital signal processor did you add? My biggest complaint is not being able to 'tune' the jbl audio. i only 15k miles on my 2017 and i already have rattles in my doors which i believe is caused by the 6x9 trying to produce too low of frequencies... basically i have to turn my bass down midway or below just so my doors don't rattle. disappointing.
I haven't put much thought into a permanent 110 converter but it can't be too hard. Also... not that i am going to add a butt load of equipment requiring rocker switches but have you see a rocker switch panel/pod that would fit take the place of the sunglass holder by the review mirror? I want my rockers switches to look factory... and that would be a perfect location.

@Duneflyer also wanted to comment on your usb chargers you added in your dash... looks factory looks nice. Looks like you removed the 'security' device, which i am assuming is the speaker that picks up glass break? did you relocate the 'security' thing or simply delete/trash?

This is my processor. It works great .I can turn the bass up 100% on the deck but the mids and highs don't feel the effects.. just the subs. I am running a 5 channel JL audio amp so the single amp setuo worked perfectly . They have more advanced processors but I picked this one and it does the job perfectly .

I have added 3 rocker switches. 1 for the dual ARB compressor and then 1 switch each for my 2 light bars. There are few spaces to put these damn switches on the 1794 edition. Seems like they have gadgets everywhere. I ended up putting all 3 down on my left panel below all the others .they are out of the and very miminal in view. I haven't seen anything to replace the sunglass holder.. but that would be a good place for one. My holes are drilled now tho .Lol .

I bought that USB from Amazon . Like 12 bucks and yes i just threw the security device thing away .I have an aftermarket alarm and no longer used it. I added a permanent on position to it as was my preference since no other aux port on these trucks are always on. Since I did the 2 battery set up I wasn't worried about killing my battery if the truck sits for a month . I also added my bass knob from the amp next to it for a factory feel .There is room for another rocker switch or 2 there as well.

Thanks for replies... my wife's mini cooper went capoot so i better get that repaired before i start adding goodies to my tundra. Damn mini cooper is crap. needs a head job and dealer wants $8k. Do it myself and take the head to local machine shop should cost me less than a grand ish... but since i am that deep in it then i need to replace timing chain, oil feed, blah blah blah... Good Times

    Ewwwww...

I have a buddy with a mini cooper, and same as you, complete garbage vehicle. It LITERALLY has spent more time in the shop then on the road.
