I bought an '07 Tundra Limited and the backup camera screen stays looking off/black and nothing happens when i shift into reverse. It's located just above the rearview mirror. Any ideas on what might be going on, and what i can check to see where the issue is? I'm not sure where to start.

Are you sure the camera has power and is connected to the system? You might have to start camera side and trace back wires for power, ground and video out to screen

I don’t know if it’s aftermarket or where to look for wires. Here’s a pic of it.

Not resolved. It looks like the same product, I’m just still unsure how to troubleshoot and figure out what the problem is. If anyone has other ideas please share. Thanks.

Most of these cameras have a wire that runs to the reverse tail light from the head unit or mirror. That way the vehicle knows you're in reverse. I would start there because the wire connector/splice may be corroded. Or, your camera may be bad if nothing appears on the screen when you're in reverse.

Open the access panel on the tailgate and make sure the camera is connected on the handle

Its funny this popped up. My 07 rear camera also stopped working awhile ago. I couldnt find information on how to fix it. It just stopped out of no where. Never flickered.
